I've read a few references about e-cigaretts containing lead? Could someone elaborate on this?

Hi Yank--I do not know where you read that. Are you sure you are not confusing it with nickel? Anyway, a long time ago I had testing done on many e-cigs and no lead was detected at that point in time. Here is the Link:
