So I had an eGo/riva set up, and every once in a while the atomizer would leak directly after I'd fill up the cartridge. Currently I'm tying an 801 atty with an adapter. Unfortunately, it's leaking EVERY time now. It tastes like it needs juice. I put 3-4 drops in, it tastes alright for a vape or two, and then it tastes bad again. A few moments later I have juice all over my battery and fingers if I'm not paying attention.

Any ideas?

Try fluffy up the filler material in your cart. The bridge of the atty tends to squash the filler and can cause leaking.

You might also consider trying Blue Foam if you use poly fill or Fluval in your carts. It takes a little experimenting to find the right size and shape of the Blue Foam but once you do, it gives a more consistent hit that Poly/Fluval in my mind.

The 801 Atty I got doesn't have filler. I thought that maybe it was designed to be drip only, is that not the case?

No atomizer has filling in it. It is the cart that has the filling. If you buy a atomizer they usualy send you an atomizer with a blank cart, no filler in it, to protect the atomizer during shipping.

I realize that, but looking at the 801 atty/"cartridge" that was sent, I don't understand how you would put filler in it.

The heating element is too far down in the atty for any filler from the cartridge to touch it.
