leaking/flooding M1A1 tanks

seems both of my tanks are leaking/flooding, rootbeer and the blue one, outer o-rings look intact, so the inner rings could be damaged.
been using fusions, boges, resurrectors, and they all leak or flood the cartos.
unsure how to get to the inner rings to inspect for damage any suggestion on the inner rings size and how to get the out .

Make sure the screw isn't to tight. It causes the side of the tank to push out causing an air leak. Air in juice out. I use a pin to get mine out. Just don't poke through it but instead under it lifting it out of the groove.

What John said! The thumb screw will absolutely cause leaking if you screw it in against the carto. I don't remember off the top of my head what size the inner o rings are, but if you need some just shoot me a PM.

I use one of the carto tools that many of the tank vendors sell now, to keep from gouging my o rings. Tank Tool/Filler Tip - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

I got an adapter I made that hooks the 2 cartos together then I just slide the tank from one to the other. Makes it nice if you need to change cartos and the tank is still full.

I use a syringe to drain before changing cartos. And use bottles with fine tips to refill through the screw hole. I punch cartos to they are seated snug against my drip tip. Never let the screw touch the carto

thanks for all of your advice, awhile back i must of mis-read about turning the screw until i got some resistance, i was turning the screw up against the carto until got some resistance. turning the screw until some resistance, not getting close to the carto and walaa, no leaking/flooding, with the morena tank.

Great to hear Pelon! Yes, that was the original idea for the screw, to hold the tank from slipping on the carto...until we started discovering that it made them leak with just the slightest pressure against the carto.

Here's a pic of the adapter I made from one of Ikens drip tips. It really works well and even with a full tank I don't lose any juice when changing cartos. Plus it saves on o-rings.

They're easy to make. Just cut the end off then put it in the drill to cut the o-ring channel, put an o-ring on the other end and your done.

too big of a hole or slot in the carto can cause leaking also FYI , and YES the screw can cause a leak if tightened too tight ,.
