recently (1 month) been using tanks, and on several occasions my cartos get flooded,
been using m&p mini subs, and m1a1 tanks, cartos being used are resurrectors prepunched, and fusions slotted.
both cartos with both tanks at 1 time or another have gotten flooded.
have used them on my Buss and egos PV

so what is the trick on not flooding them?

tks in advance

If you are pushing on the endcaps with the carto in place, that will create pressure pushing too much juice into the carto through the holes. Not sure if that's unavoidable with that tank.

I've found that the size of the hole cannot be too big unless it's too deep.

If you can, push in the carto, fill the tank with the end caps on, and then work the carto up through the rest of the tank and you should be good.

I've found that if it starts to flood, take it off the PV and tap it on a paper towel a few times. Then I give the bottom of the carto a good wipe and let it sit for at least a few minutes (upright) on the paper towel.

This does the trick for me. I don't know what causes it exactly. I'm sure it's either the pressure or the wrong size hole for that juice.

It may take a few times to find the right way to punch them, but once you get it down it's the best. You don't have to hassle with dripping or topping off cartos.

Flooding is generally caused by getting the juice inside the tank too warm which turns the juice to the consistency of water. Also, if the hole has been punched too deep, it disturbs the airhole.

As for drawing too hard, I chainvape and have never had that be the culprit. Nor has the consistency of my juice been the problem. I vape 80% pg.

I use a Smoketek DCT carto tank periodically and haven't experienced any flooding at all and that's using 100% PG juice that is clear and thin. It has a tiny hole in it and I fill it using the condom method. I'm actually pretty happy with the DCT tank system.

One of the things that make it work right is a good saturation fill on a new carto. That keeps me from having to draw heavily to keep it fed. I let it sit a couple of minutes between hits to make sure it had time to refill.

My main vape is a Boge 3 ohm carto. I've just gotten used to a top off every 30 minutes or so.

Unequal pressure between the pressure in the tank and the pressure in the carto is still the leading cause of flooding. A high pressure will always flow to the lower pressure. This is what makes carto tanks work. When we take a hit we create lower pressure in the carto which draws fluid into the carto. Anything that we do that creates to large a pressure difference will cause flooding.
