That setup looks like what I might gravitate to. Clean vape, less waste. My only concern would be drying out, since I'm exploring a bunch of flavors, in search of my ADV. I've got a ways to go before I'm ready for rebuilding.

I just switched from clearos and vivis to DCTs and now to a Smoktech RDA 'octopus'. I was trying to get into tanks and away from dripping. The octopus is technically a dripping atty, but it holds so much liquid you don't have to drip nearly as much as the old method of 510 and 306 attys, etc. I find it similar to topping off a vision clearo or small 2.5ml DCT throughout the day. Flavor, vapor and throat hit is far superior to any clearo, kanger or DCT I've used. It can not leak standing up since the connector is sealed, the side air hole can leak if overfilled but it takes a day to figure out capacity and rectify that issue, when it did leak on me it was literally one drop stuck on the side. The design is so simple and efficient, I love it, essentially two main prices and WAY less finicky than anything. You can buy replacement coil/wick combos (comes preassembled plus a spare), or if you decide to go the DIY rout and twist your own, it might be one of the easiest rebuildables to work on, and the cost of wire and wick will be way less than replacement cartos or heads for clearos. The only issue I'm finding is the cap isn't snug enough that you won't end up popping it off in your pocket, eventually, but I haven't yet and it should be a simple fix of replacing the o-rings for fatter ones. Mine has not leaked a drop overnight nor has it leaked into my batteries.

Never have clearos in anything other than shirt pocket. Usually detach and store upright in re-purposed humidor when not vaping.

The leaking I'm getting from clearos isn't external; it seams to be excessive dripping in the air shaft when they sit for a while. I would imagine that a bit of an arch to the coil/wick, inside that shaft, might solve the issue; but it might be tough to do. Not experienced enough yet.

I do have pricier clearos on the way. The Stardusts came with starter kit, and the Bauways were inder $2.50.

take pliers and tighten the nova.. problem fixed. no need for plummers tape.
Huh??? Do not leave them flat. I think he was kidding.
Also, the clearos leak from the plastic tank moving. This usually happens when you put these in your pant pocket and you bend over and they bend, causing the tanks to flex around the collar and break the seal. But honestly they all leak, they are not designed to be sealed tight.
Just get use to leaking juices.. I deal with it at least once a week on just about every device. Forget what others tell you. The t3 and evod have better tank design and do not leak as much but your guaranteed to taste the juice, as it ends up in your mouth half the time.
If your getting dry hits on silka wick, perhaps ecig is not for you. lol.. It is not rocket science to figure out that your wick need to be saturated in juice in order to wick properly.. or maybe it is rocket science.

No box, was in plastic. I think it's a Smoktech. Was $6.50, so a deal, in any case. Got everything tightened down, and less leaking day 2. I think the juice may have gummed up enough to improve seal.

I have been using the mini VV Novas for 5 weeks without any leaking issues. Did your box say Vision on the outside?

This is my exact problem with the Clearos. They're sealed beasts, so no taking apart allowed. think it's an over saturated wick assembly issue.

Another issue with the bauways is that the center posts/silicon caps don't line up on the drip tips consistently, so I often get bubbling, as I draw through both the air shaft, and the tank. In this regard, the stardust's integrated mouthpiece seems to seal much better.

I've had this happen a couple of times with ce2 tanks, just sitting there overnight, 3ml of juice magically climbs the wicks and ends up dripping off the coil and down the air tube, was never really sure just what was goin on. I'd suggest first make sure everything is sealed properly. If your sitting it somewhere that it's getting warm, that might be a consideration, it would thin the juice and raise the pressure in the tank. I'm just guessing really.

Those are the older non rebuildable Stardusts. The newer versions= take apart, clean, dry burn, replace heads, etc.
In regards to SmokTech Vivis I like some of their products BUT some of their products lack in quality. I used Stardusts Clearos ( both non- rebuildable and rebuildable) and never had any issues but switched to the Vision Vivi Novas simply because the build quality was superior.

I've only had the octopus for a week, so not positive yet how easily it'll dry out. I think it would take weeks since it's so wet inside, there are eight wicks tied together which are each about 1.5" long. I played with some other equipment for a day or so and it sat untouched the whole time, when I came back to it and took a drag it was like a fresh drip, was pretty surprised. This thing makes me feel like everyone who had a hand in early DIY atty development was over thinking everything. It's only 8 bucks, give it try.

Well get Vision brand Vivi Nova they are around $11.00 and do not leak, they are designed different inside, Smoketech heads will not fit Visions ... I would not consider this a deal if its leaking at all, I would consider them throw aways at best

Check to make sure your not cross threading anything together, and make sure your not pressing the silicone over the perch it is meant to sit on. Other than that if it came in a plastic wrap with no case, it's not a authentic Nova, I have a Genuine mini Nova and I have had zero problems what so ever out of it, If you are getting dry hits try taking out one of the small wicks, carefully though. If the base piece has came off a little from the knurled portion just use some pliers and press them back together, had to do that once after I dropped it, but it wasnt leaking, just bugging me aesthetically

Something else came to mind, just a WAG really, but maybe worth a try. Try blowing out the devices before you leave them sit for the night, then don't put them back on the PV, just let them sit upright on paper towels or something. I'm wondering if juice could be blocking the air passage, this would seal up the unit completely, then some temp/pressure change could start up some kind of siphon effect. Like I said, just a WAG, but maybe worth a test.

This is the problem- Clone Vivi Novas and a few have had leaking issues with the SmokTech Vivi Novas. I originally used Stardusts but switched to Vision Vivi Novas because of the superior build quality. Have used them for 5+ months and have never had a leak, can lay them down, upside down and no leaks. As for SmokTech they have some good products and some not so good.

So far the only clearo tank I have used that doesn't leak is the screw tank, it has a new name now that I forget! I tried a vivi nova and did not like it, pitched it I got so frustrated with it. As for the regular clearos, they all leaked on me, so not a fan of those. I also have pyrex tanks and Propolene tanks and they do not leak much, basically tho I find myself going back to cartos because they are less fussing around. bnrk

My Vivi Nova (didn't a single company trademark the name?) was $6.99, so I figured I was getting a killer deal. As is, I'll vape what I have in the tank now, and check the post later. I would imagine that a quality replacement head might be enough to fix the issue. In any case, I'll remember to spend a coupla extra bucks to avoid the frustration.

I just remembered the new name- Smokteck Titan SMOK TiTaN™ Clearo Modular Tank : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more
