I know, I know... this topic has been discussed to death. And, I am in the process of searching now.
I have a TFV8 tank that started leaking a week or two ago. I tried all the usual tricks (empty and clean all parts, don't over tighten, replace o rings, etc). Nothing helped. After a few days of covering the mod with a paper towel everytime I took a drag, I decided to buy a new tank. The new TFV8 arrived yesterday afternoon, and after checking it out and filling it with juice, it is doing the exact same thing.
We are not talking about a drop leaking here and there, it is leaking the whole tankful in less than two hours.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

It's important to tell us where the leaking is occurring. I'll assume for now you mean leaking out of the airflow.

One thing I do that minimizes leaking on topfill tanks is to never fill them when the tank is warm. Sounds funny, but it works for me.

Another thing that I do but not sure if it actually works is to close the airflow controller before you even open the tank. Then open it after you have filled the tank and closed the topfill.

Another problem with topfills is a bad seal on the topfill cap. Doesn't matter if it's a new tank, these products have poor quality control and you may have bought an old tank from a first run that had a bad top seal (this is not uncommon).

For that tank, you can try to remove/lift-up the seal and place very thin pieces of something (like plastic wrap) under the seal (all around) to build up the seal very slightly about 1/4 of a millimeter or less. Enough to build up the seal but not so much that you can't close the top fill. If the issue is that the seal is too thin or worn, this could solve the issue.

Thanks for the replies!

Yes, the leakage is from the air vents on the bottom.

I have three of these tanks, have had two of them for about three years now (without any issues) and now I am having issues. So, with this new tank, I have three, but only one is useful/reliable.

I though you said that you are having the same issue with the new tank?

The new TFV8 arrived yesterday afternoon, and after checking it out and filling it with juice, it is doing the exact same thing.

Sounds like bad seal on the coils. I'd try another batch/box.
This is a thought that crossed my mind, but with the older tank, the coil was the fourth out of the bubble wrap packaging, and the previous coils from the same package did not have any issues. With the new tank, I was surprised this happened as I used a coil that came with the new tank.

The good news.. regardless of what you think, your tank isn't leaking!
The bad news.. your coils are!
This is more than likely from either, a bad batch of coils that are wicked too tightly, or..
Improper prep of the coil.

If you haven't gotten at least one spiel on coil prop, let us know!

I've had some coils where the seal / o-ring at the bottom of the coil was not sealing correctly. It turned out that the coil wire that seats by that o-ring was poking out and breaking the seal. I just used a screw driver to poke it behind the o-ring. If this is your problem, you will see the wire somewhere around that coil head bottom o-ring sticking out and deforming the o-ring.
