Leaky Cartos Question/ Burning Tongue

Morning,
I just got done with a v4l Cool Cart, Cappuccino 18mg, during the time I was using it I noticed that some brown liq would appear on the white cap after I inhaled. Also the tip of my tongue would burn. So Im thinking the brown stuff must be the nic liq and its a defect carto. After it was done I put on a v4l 18mg RY4 carto and noticed the same thing, a little brown liq on the white cap, and my tongue is burning. Brown liq doesnt show all the time. These were two separate orders.

So this has to be the nicotine burning my tongue right? Could I have two defective cartos, why is there brown liq on top of the white cap, am I doing something wrong? Lot of questions in that one sentence. LOL.

It's probably not defective cartos. If you inhale too strongly or the carto is a little too full, the suction can pull out some of the liquid as well as the vapor. It's the heat from the liquid, rather than the nicotine that causes the burning. Try longer softer drags.

Yep, pulling fluid up through the carto into your mouth.

Some units like the GG-TS have an adjustable draw mechanism. For yours, you will just have to draw softer.

Sounds like juice is loose in the cart or in the air channel. That can happen during shipping or whenever you add juice yourself.

Pop the top (use an unbent end of a small paperclip, stuck in the mouth hole just far enough to pop it out). Blow into the threaded end with the open end down and toward a tissue, then use a folded tip of tissue to clean up any loose pooled juice above the stuffing that isn't soaking in. That's the same way I clean up after adding juice.

I also enjoy using a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on cartomizers - usually keeps you far enough away from sputters and juice when the carto is full. But a well-aimed sputter can still shoot a how drop through a drip tip to your tongue so I do the carto cleanup after filling (or on new ones with loose juice) even if I am usign a drip tip.

Dormouse was right, too much juice. Since I wasnt sure how to get the hard top off without wrecking it, I just tore that puppy off. Blew and cleaned out, there was some excess juice that came out. Since I wrecked the hard top, I did the old Doc Vapor thing and took a condom end, cut a little hole on the top and that is now my mouth piece until I can get some drip tips. The Carto now works like a champ. Actually you get more vapor with the bigger hole..
