Why buy a cheap knockoff that has many faults when you can buy the original ScrewDriver, 2 for the price of 1 atm with full backup from the maker.

I've never tried a mod with the button on the bottom, but it looks to awkward to me. I can't afford to buy something that I might not like. So, I guess I will never know if the SD is right for me or not.. That is the only reason why I would choose a 905 over an SD.

The buttons in the perfect place  You can't afford to buy something you might not like but you can afford to buy something that is faulty lol. Good luck :D

I think the Screwdriver is a nice product, however it has two issues that would prevent me from buying one. First is the lack of an LED. I'm not sure why people hate them so much, I love the look of LEDs and with a bit of creativity, you can do some pretty cool things with them, instead of just having a glaring dot shining in your eye.

Second is the fact that it can't stand on end. If it came with a little stand/holder that I could rest it in, that would be great. Otherwise, I'd prefer a flat bottom.

I have the 905 and a sparkplug which has the button on the bottom. I do like the sparkplug, but I find it to be a little awkward whereas the 905 fits perfectly in my hand.

I've had the 905 for two weeks and it's worked like a charm. I bought it very cheap from valuevapor.com and the customer service has been great. In fact, the owner(?), VV_James, has answered my questions and discussed the 905 with me via email and PM.

It would be great if someone with a 905 and screwdriver would chime in on the differences.

Just a few i've heard about that may have been addressed by now. A few people I know on forums have had no joy with the 905. The light shines right in your eyes. If the batteries are put in the wrong way it shorts. The plastic breaks when you screw in an atty. Look at grimmgreens video. Of all the long time vapors I've read about all say they wish they'd bought the SD instead.
Theres no advantage in having an led imo. The SD can be stood up on the button if you wanted to
It copied the SD because its a great device that simply works, they wouldn't copy something crap. Its just cheaply made with bits of plastic. I think its up to version 3 already because of the glaring faults. :D
Im not here trying to sell any, doesn't bother me what people buy. I just like to try and help people out who may not have much experience with ecigs and can hopefully have as easy a time as possible.
I think the SD is screaming value atm with buy one body get one free on the bodies. I've been using mine for about 11 months and bought a 2nd as a backup incase I send it back for repair or lose it etc. Mine cost me £100 at the time and was well worth it, so its a steal at the cheaper price. Heavy vaping for 11 months on one device is pretty darn good so I like to let people know. People are recieving theres in the US in about 7 days on average it seems, and loving it.
Good luck with whatever you want to use but take a look at the SD support forum before deciding on what to purchase. ;)
People that moan about the button position are mostly people that have never used one. It is a very small pv that feels like its custom made for your hand, its such a natural place for it to be. Take as long as a drag as you like, no cut offs or cleaning cycles etc. No flasing lights. Battery comes of the charger at 4.2v so your getting a constant hit until the battery needs charging.

Oh, okay. Well, I haven't had any experiences like this with V4. The LED light isn't bothersome to me, I've put the batteries in the wrong way with no problems, and the plastic has been awfully sturdy. Can't imagine how hard you have to screw in the atty to break the plastic.

Its just cheaply made with bits of plastic.
The only plastic I see is the LED and like I said, on my device, it's an extremely hard plastic.

Actually, the version numbers aren't necessarily a reflection of poor quality, but instead a reflection of potential. All "good" forms of technology (i.e., cell phones, computers, cars, PVs) are improved upon if they have any potential. Doesn't the screwdriver have different versions? MKII and MKI?

Im not here trying to sell any, doesn't bother me what people buy. I just like to try and help people out who may not have much experience with ecigs and can hopefully have as easy a time as possible.
Yeah, right.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I have recently started collecting PVs (see my signature), and I've been curious about the screwdriver, but your posts have really turned me off of the device, and the company, you're pushing. Each time you make an unsupported claim - a claim that doesn't match my experiences or seem to reflect the later versions of the 905- you kind of reinforce why I'm satisfied with the 905 I have.

I would still love to see a disinterested comparison of the 905 models and the screwdriver models. Or, even better, a comparison of the four different versions of the 905. It would be really helpful.

LMAO  You need to do some more research if you think the majority are happy with the 905. Anyone who knows me will tell you im only trying to help new buyers get the best for there money. Many happy SD owners with units that are still going strong after a year kinda speaks for itself. I think i'll leave all you happy bunnies to figure things out for yourselves. :D

Deena, I bought a 905 last week from NHalers. Not too happy with that decision. I had to send it back after 3 days. I wanted to trade it back and pay the difference for an XHaler but they wouldn't do it. They say their gonna fix it. The problem is that vendors are still selling units that melt down (cleaning cycle? please). They may have improved it but there's a lot of faulty ones out there that are being sold. If I knew then what I know now I probably would have got a different mod.

That's really unfortunate. Hopefully you'll get a replacement and the faulty devices will work themselves out of circulation soon.

I bought mine from valuevapor, it's v4, and I've used it nonstop since I bought it. it's never gone into a cleaning cycle. I think it will be three weeks this weekend.

I am an owner of a DSE905 that I purchased from AZ Smokefree. Here is the link to the DSE905. The Better Way To Smoke - DSE905 Nomad E-Cigarette Kit, Black All in all i think it is a great unit. The batteries last a long time and the vapor production is great. I do have a 901 to 510 converter so that I can use my 510 atty's instead of the 901 atty. I have seen the vid of that one guy breaking his. Thats a total bummer. But I have had mine for a little over two months, and I have dropped it at least a dozen times and it still works fine. I looks all nicked up from dropping it, but it still works great and nothing has broken on it.

I think the one i have is considered V2, and yes it does have the so called "cleaning cycle" issue, but who cares. I just turn if off when I put it down. After all, when you smoke an analog, you have to put out the burning cigararette ....... Right? It's not like you can just throw your burning cigarette .... on the carpet. Well, maybe some people do, but I think my son and my girlfriend would have gotten really ...... off if they would have seen me doing that. So, just turn off the DSE905 when you put it down. If it does start the cleaning cycle, you can just turn off the power switch on the bottom. There is no need to unscrew anything.

I have heard some say they dont like the LED. If so, then wrap a piece of tape around it. Some say that the silver version is to slippery to hold on to. Then unfurl a condom over it LOL. Just make sure you get a non lubed condom. I heard another guy say that you can get two SD bodies for the price of one. Thats true, but you still have to buy the carts, charger, atty's and batteries for it, so you will probably spend a little over $100.00 when all is said and done. Thats not to say that the SD is a bad product. In fact it's probably a great product and I'm sure it works fine. But the OP of this thread asked for a low priced option to a big batt mod, and the DSE905 is just that. A low priced big batt mod that will last all day on a single battery.

The bottom line is this. If you want a great big batt mod and you don't want to spend a lot of money, then get the DSE905. I love mine and since I got it, I have not used my joye 510 or my SE RN4081 at all.

Well said. I have a black one(v2) that I got from Shawn at LitecigUSA at Xmas and I use it every day and that is exactly what I do with it. I haven't dropped mine but other than that what you said basically sums up my experience with it. It's a great little unit and I haven't had any issues with it. Chipped the black paint a bit but that's okay because now I have a nice Brass 905 ;)
