The Ocelot, looks like you are perahps going down a similar road to the path I'm planning. What clearo do you find to be the easiest/best bang-for-the-buck? So far I'm leaning towards the Stardust, but that Kanger T3 looks nice and easy so I might rethink this. Another member suggested going with the replaceable head version of the Stardust. Would that be similar to rebuilding the mini nova? I'm also keen to avoid b*tt hurt, but if the annoyance is minor and infrequent with a decent cost savings perhaps I'll look into it. As for the carto/tank... I like the look of the one you pictured. Have you tried any pre-built cart/tank systems that you can suggest for a beginner? I'm not quite ready to jump into purchasing different tanks/cartonmizers and all the combinations that entails. Really looking for something that comes together which I can use to get a "base line" for how well the carto tanks perform compared to a clearomizer. And no worries about the ramble, was very helpful!
Okay, this will be long. I apologize for typing errors in advance.
Clearos: Cheap, think of them as disposable. "Stardust" is the branded name of a Vision CE4 (a.k.a. Vision eGo) used by gotvapes. I haven't found that much difference between the brand name and clones. They are all inconsistent. I just keep that in mind and buy a couple from whatever vendor I happen to be ordering juice from. I got some "Sunrise" ones (gotta love the riff on Stardust) from ECBlend recently and was surprised to find they worked better than the Stardusts I have...but...that could just be the batch. Currently, Smoke Revolt has CE4 clearos for $2.99:
http://www.smokerevolt.com/ce4s If you get some, PM me and I will tell you how to keep them from leaking. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the rebuildable ones. If you want to rebuild, get a nova.
Kanger T3: They get good reviews and I wouldn't mind trying one, but I like cinnamon and that would melt it. (Cinnamon melts clearos and novas too, but I already have enough of those to use for my non-cinnamon vapes). The Kanger isn't like a clearo or a vivi nova. It's a bottom feeding system, which appears (I could be wrong) to use a wicking system closer to that of a carto.

Vivi Novas: Are a lot like clearos. The liquid go up the wicks to the atty (In fact, you often have to tip a nova as much as a clearo, in my experience). If you read the threads, it's obvious people love them. They are small, easy to fill and the heads are easy to replace. I'm not that crazy about them. I haven't found the heads to last any longer than clearos, but YMMV. (This is where I got mine, but the price has gone up. I saw the kit somewhere else for about $9.95)

Carto/Tanks: Valley View Vapes has polypro and pyrex tanks that are inexpensive and cinnamon friendly. They come with prepunched Boge cartos. Cartos take some practice to get them primed, but there are good videos on how to do it. The only drawbacks I have found with VVV tanks is they're ugly and getting a new carto in and out can be a pain. The grommets are very tight. But they don't leak and are cinnamon friendly. I use one everyday:

My favorite tank is from IBTanked. It's the one in the picture. I currently have 3 of them. I knew nothing about tanks, except that I needed one due to the cinnamon, and member Baditude walked me through how to put one together. It was super easy! I got the tank from IBTanked (19mm XL):

plus stainless steel caps (cinnamon eats acrylic):

Then a prepunched cartomizer:

He also recommended a lovely little tool, unfortunately called a "Slap Yo Mama," which has made refilling and changing the cartos in the glass tanks a breeze! Sadly, it doesn't work with the polypro tank because of the tight grommets.

I bounce back and forth between tanks of different liquids all day. I only fill the tanks every other day or so, due to the bouncing. Not a bad hit from any of them, until the cartos wear out (as long as you keep them wet). For variety, I have several clearos filled with flavors and one of the novas is full, but I tried it yesterday and it tasted like soap. Whatever. It's ultimately about quitting tobacco.
This is my new toy! To celebrate 100 days smoke free, I got a blown glass drip tip!
