A lot of factors contribute to TH. Yes, nic is one of them, but as SoUnique said the pg/vg ratio and additives (distilled water, pga). Also the coil, wick(s), the voltage and the flavourings used in the juice also contribute to TH. How dry your throat/mouth is also has an effect, so vaping a strong TH juice while having your medium double double will lower the TH because of the cream.

im a noob but experienced the same th when i started a whopping 9 days ago...i started out with all 70/30 pg/vg juices because I didn't know what pg/vg was..and thats the only juice the vendor i purchased from sold....and also it was all 18 mg....i could vape it but it was harsh for me and I knew I had to research and figure out why...so I did.

Couple days later i was now an expert on pg/vg nic content etc and ordered a few juices from Canada ejuice as it was one of the first sites i found and they offered various pg/vg ratios in their drop down boxes! Great idea. so I ordered three juices 50/50 30/70 and 100 percent to the vg side...they came in today and im pumped to try but i didn't order any clearomizers and my vendor here ran out waiting for his order so aaaaaaaah lol.

While I was waiting though I spoke to my vendor here and he ended up mixing me up 4 50/50 blends all 18 mg/nic...which i wanted 12 but he forgot that so i got 18....anyway the first 50/50 i tried....as of today is already way way way way better that what i previously had....almost no throat hit!!! and an awesome flavor (blended tobacco) i'm vapin it right now...its tasty and smooth

So in summation I cant wait to get my mini protank 2z and ce5z so i can rig all these various ratios and nic strengths up to find my absolute perfect fit....even just trying the 2 i have i think im pretty close...I would recommend you do the same...test em all and find your perfect fit then its just a matter of what the flavor of the day is!!!! Hope this helps.

All of my MPT2's came with 2.5 ohm coils. I tried 1.8 ohm which I liked and even tried 1.5 ohm which while good was a bit too hot of a vape for my liking. IMO a 1.7 ohm would be perfect for me but 1.8 ohm is close enough. Throat hit changes with different coils as well.

Just sayin...
