Come on,even if they can be revived by throwing cash at them,a bad example is a bad example and price should reflect that!

it's a seller/buyer market and if there is a sucker willing person to buy it, more power to it blah-blah. seriously, it seems like this thread comes along every two and a half weeks...my advice is look away if you don't like it, do it differently when you're in that position, but no sense in complaining because many are happy to get what they get at whatever price they agree to pay.

I can see this one going on just like all the others. Normally I don't partake in these discussions, mainly because I won't pay insane prices for something I just have to wait for.
If these items are not being purchased for such high prices then the sellers would not ask for it. but it happens. Frankly its non of my business what you or whoever wants to spend on what they want. If it's what you want and you want to buy it, by all means, don't let anyone stand in your way. But when it has nothing to do with you, let it be.

i'm not justifying anything, it's really not my scene at all; all you can ask is that people are being honest in their dealings and then whatever is asked or paid for is entirely their business and no one elses.

I think it really speaks to the quality of the Mod. I have seen Reos sell far above retail that look they tried to kill themselves with a garbage disposal unit, same for GGs. The iAtty I bought was in terrible shape and the ...... left a dirty ole coil and stanky juice in it and I still paid above retail and was thrilled to have it. The only thing that will drive prices down is lack of demand.

I think we should all start threads and talk about how terrible GGs are and keep them all in the family

I saw a got'dang pristine Aluminum GGTS sell for $150 last week and I swear to science my stomach hurt for an hour.

I don't know, I'd be hard pressed to sell my SS GGTS for less than replacement cost by way of the classifieds.
I do have a couple of GG items I no longer use, and should probably sell just to capitalize on their apparent value. Since getting the Ody, nothing else seems to matter, Imeo would have a hard time convincing me he has something better still.

As my good friend buGG, Para and others have said, there are only two things you can control in regards to what is sold and how much is asked:

1. How much you personally ask for an item and

2. How much you pay for an item

Above that, if it bothers any of us, the best we can do is what my wife of almost 40 years and I do - If we bug each other or fail to agree on a topic, ANY topic, we just ignore the other. If that doesn't work, I turn up the volume...

I ight add I used to be bothered by what sounded like canned responses but the older you get, the more they make sense and you understand why they are re-used - They are true!

If I let what others say or think or do bother me, I'd have been dead years ago. Or as my long dead grand pappy used to say "boy, don't pee into the wind and not expect to get wet".

Here's the thing for me. Most of the mods I've purchased off of the classies have been pristine and as described. 2 of them not so much... they looked like they were buried in the desert and packed w/ dirt. Poorly maintained etc etc. If someone is honest in their description and sells it they can ask what they want and probably will end up having to take a lowball offer - I'm not so opposed to that. What gets to me more is people who never clean their mods and send them to you w/ juice inside and messed up. HUGE pet peeve. People need to clean their stuff or not resell it.
