Ok, while I'm PATIENTLY (like I have a choice) waiting for the mail lady to get here with my new goodies I'll do my part on the thread.

I'm Karla, 47 and married to TNTAbilene (Randy). We've been together for almost 20 years, been married for 10. We have two daughters, one 20 and one 14. We have a small business here in Abilene, on-site IT support for small to medium sized businesses and have been open almost 5 years.

We are home bodies and live a relatively drama free life. Sometimes we have vicarious drama through others but for the most part it's pretty quiet at our house. We have two Standard Poodles, a Boxer, a miniature Schnauzer, a Blue Fronted Amazon, an African Grey, a Quaker Parrot...and a cat. LOL!

We've been vaping since September or so and were thrilled to be able to get our REO Grands in November 2010. vaping has really become a hobby and not just a way to quit smoking...although it worked great for that too! We like movies, music, techy geeky stuff and NASCAR. When the weather is good we work outside on some project. We're either gonna tear it up really good or fix it really good.

I'm really glad to be a part of ECF and even more proud to be counted as a REOnaut.

Heck yeah I watched it! We may miss other races during the season but never miss Daytona or Homestead. I thought it was really cool that other drivers kept asking Trevor to push them all day. VETERANS were teaming up with this rookie, way cool. And then for him to take it all in the last few laps, well it was just awesome for sure. They were saying earlier in the race that he only had a ride for about half the season, I'm sure after Sunday that has changed dramatically. I hope he gets a full ride with an awesome sponsor and kicks some tail this season.

He's the youngest driver to win Daytona since Jeff Gordon and I think Jeff saw this kid has some real potential. 20 years old and he's got a Daytona 500 win under his belt.

Hopefully, we can get this started again.

I'm Vikki. I'm 39 and have a 15 (almost 16) year old son, and a 5 (almost 6) year old pit bull/sheppard/whatever else is mixed in there. I'm a military brat so I've lived in several places throughout the world, and though I can't speak any language fluently other than English (and sometimes I wonder about that one), I can count and say "my name is..." in 5 different languages. I love to read and do crafty things, and I've been practicing Kuk Sool Won martial arts for almost 3 years now.

I started smoking at 14 and only quit a few months ago. I never really had a problem with smoking - I participated in a well-known and respected local choir and did my martial arts up for years while I smoked. At my annual checkup, the nurse couldn't believe I smoked as much as I did or for long as I have because my lungs didn't behave like a smokers during the "blow test." But a few months ago, I had partial temporary vision loss. Three times in three weeks. I saw every doc imaginable and no one could come up with a reason other than "you need to quit smoking." I didn't know this, but nicotine causes constriction of the blood vessels. A little contraction in a big vessel is no big deal, but a little contraction in a little vessel (like the ones that feed the eyes) is huge. So here I am. I'm still working on weaning myself off of nicotine, but I'm proud that I've dropped from 18 mg starting out to 10 mg now.

That's my story. It's nice to meet everyone! Everyone has been so nice in this forum, and I'm happy I've found my "online home." And I'm really glad to have found a great mod like the Reo to help me on my smoking/nicotine quitting journey. :)

What the hey, I'll join in too.

I'm Lori and I'm 42, born and raised in the great white north. Started smoking when I was 15 and officially quit February 9th of this year. Early January I did the mistake of getting started with an ecig that "looked" like a real one and continued to smoke until I got an eGo. Then 2 months ago I got my hands on a reo mini.....now I have 3 reo's and gave my eGo's to friends I introduced to vaping.

Other than that I only have critter kids. 1 pomeranian/mini eskimo cross who went blind overnight last christmas (we're both taking it day to day) and 4 beautiful snake babies as well - I always had a thing for reptiles and snakes especially get such a bad wrap for just being themselves.

I am the shipper/receiver in a manufacturing plant. My favorite part of working in this environment is dealing with people who don't expect a little "girl" like myself to handle a forklift better than the men in the shop. Too bad there is no sarcastic smiley I can add to that sentence.

Um, other than that I'm more of a homebody. But with my reo's at hand I couldn't be more happier :)

Nice to meet you, Bauzen and Lori! Hi, Robert!

Bauzen: How long have you been practicing Muay Thai?

Lori: Sorry to hear about your Pom mix baby. Were you able to find out why the sight was lost so suddenly? BTW, I think it's cool that you drive forklifts!

Robert: You build awesome mods and the critters are ADORABLE! :) Are you a stealth ninja or a martial arts ninja? :)

Hi

My name is washvap.....and I'm addicted to nicotine.......wait.......this isn't......never mind...

Been smoking since I was 10 yrs old. About 2 years ago. There were some friends of mine that mentioned to me about e-cigs as a way to quit smoking cigs. Which I gave the, "yeah..ok...whatever" reaction since I didn't feel the need to quit or that e-cigs worked anyways. But, it did start to cross my mind when things started catching up to me after a while (well, accumulated through years). Such as spitting out blood, globs of tar, and whatever that stuff was. Honestly, the tar was a changing point because I don't think to many people has had that come out while clearing their throat in the morning. Funny thing was that the doctor said I was fine (One of the many reasons why I don't trust doctors anymore LOL)

So, after the people near me suggested I quit over and over...and over again. I finally thought about transitioning to e-cigs. Went to the mall to check this thing out and see if it was something that would work for me. I don't know what the sale person did to this thing but it worked pretty well at the time.

After that, I made the mistake of buying this overpriced kit (smoke51 Trio). Got it back home and used it for a week. Found out that the carts sucked, vapor production was ok, and battery life was dismal. Pretty much got me ...... off since I spent over a hundred bucks for that piece of ----. Actually went back to smoking for a few more years after that.

A little over four months ago. I decided to quit again and this time I did some research on the internet (I know, I should've done this first but I didn't have an a computer before this.) After doing some searches on google for the "best" e-cig. I found the ECF and was basically blown away with the amount of info and opinions. Found out that the "best" is a myth in the vaping world.

But, I did know what I wanted now after my initial mistake. Needed something that would last all day, worked well, easy to use, and didn't use carts. Finally decided that the ego-t was it for me. Went to Cignot and found out that they just released the ego-t type b. The price that I seen on the screen was amazing and decided to buy it.

The rest is history

Hi all, I'm Jeni. I have 1 son, a fabulous granddaughter who is truly the light of my life, and my granddaughter's mom who I call my Fantasy Daughter-in-law. I am honored that she calls me her Fantasy Mom-in-Law. I am a total mid-western girl, born in Nebraska, moved to Missouri and never left. I have 5 cats, 2 were intentional, 3 came to me when my son then my mom moved and couldn't take theirs with them. I did NOT start out to be the neighborhood crazy cat lady. Like a lot of you I started smoking when I was a kid, 13. Way too long ago to tell you exactly how many years that has been. I have to admit that I enjoyed smoking from the start, loved the taste, the relaxing feeling it gave me, the feeling of just sitting down and lighting a cig with a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of iced tea in the evening, and don't even get me started on the taste of a cig and nice Rum & Coke in a bar. I heard about e-cigs a few years ago, but there really wasn't that much about them that I could find, and frankly it sounded like a PITA, juice, batteries, holding it upright so it wouldn't leak, carrying all this stuff around. Then in Febuary this year, I read something that made me research them again. After reading on ECF I bought a 510 kit, which was fine, but not "it" for me, tho it did get me to quit the cigs, then an Ego-T, then a Go-Go, then an I-Go, and finally my REO, then my 2nd REO, then my 3rd, well, you know the drill. Anyway, I'm happy to be part of the REOnauts, and plan on introducing my Son and Fantasy D-I-L to e-cigs when I visit them in Phoenix later this year, I may loose a couple of my REOs on that deal but it would be worth it. I support my REO habit by underwriting mortgage loans during the day, and am lucky enough to telework from home. I love to read on my Kindle, mostly fantasy, everything by Stephen King, Charlaine Harris and the Dresden Files books by Jim Butcher (who lives in the next town north of me). On TV I never miss True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Nurse Jackie or United States of Tara on Sundays, I also am addicted to Dancing with the Stars (my dream when I was a kid was to be a dancer), Jerseylicious (those girls crack me up!) and Rescue Me (which I will miss after it ends this year). Well, there ya go, that's me.

I'm Sam, or Sammy T if you like. I play guitar and sing, and I have always wanted to start a band called Sammy T and the Three... hence the username.
I'm 26 yrs old, happily married for a year and 1/2, no kids yet, 3 Labradors, and have been vaping 5 months. Started out with the KR 808 from smoke tip, moved to V4L, bought up a whole bunch of junk before realizing there was an easier way. I like to play guitar, like I said, and I mostly play a bluesy style. My style is less technical, and more about the soul I put into my playing. I have been playing for about 12 years.
I am a freight broker by trade, have been doing it for about 6 months. It allows me to stay home with the dogs and make some money while I am at it. Basically what I do is find trucks for businesses that ship things.
My wife and I have a great relationship. We have recently started a lifestyle change and have started dieting and working out. 1500 calories/day and 1/2 hr to 1hr of working out... mostly cardio. I have lost ten lbs and she has lost 7, in a WEEK! so it is definitely working.
If I were still smoking there is no way I would be able to do cardio, so vaping is truly a blessing for me.
Great thread by the way, good way to get to know a little about all of you!

This is very nice for those who wish to open a window into their lives. Isn't it funny how people can connect by sitting and reading on a screen!

Most know some about me. But let's fill in some blanks.
I am Karen, born 58 years ago in northern Ohio.
Single by choice after 25 years of marriage. Tremendously proud of my three grown kids and my eight grandkids.

Smoking was a habit I enjoyed for many years. I smoked and quit a couple of times, up to ten years between picking it up again. To say I enjoyed it is an understatement.
When I decided to quit yet again, I was going to do it cold turkey. But then found the e-cig. My KR808 worked and although it was a hassle, I did not smoke again.
About six weeks into vaping I bought my first REO.

Today is six months for me away from the cigs.

I look forward to the progression of the REO as more models are built. My obsession with my REO's just adds to the pleasure I find vaping the perfect PV.

Hello all. I am Erik. I am 40. I live in Bloomington IL. I am married and my wife and I both did not want any children. We have two cats (Abbey and Loki) and one Dog (Maggie). I work for an Insurance Company in thier Human Resources Department. I have previously been a Car Mechanic and High School Teacher.

I enjoy cars, tuning, racing (F1, World Rally, and Endurance). I spend a weekend or two each year doing amature track days (non competitive). Its a great way to spend a weekend with friends. I also enjoy technology (My Education Degree was in Industrial Technology) computers, and gaming.

I was a 25 year smoker, 2.5 packs a day. I have been vaping since March of this year. My journey started with Greensmoke (which I don't discuss :) ), then various KR808-D1 models (V4L and iGo). As of today, I have 3 Reos, and thank Rob every day for his works of art. August 26th will mark 5 months off tobacco for me.

I have also struggled with weight most of my life. It's a constant struggle with me. While not taking it for granted I have managed to loose over 40 pounds since I have started vaping. I certainly feel better, and can function better in my daily life.

What I have really enjoyed about vaping is the wonderful community of vapers. Everyone has been so supportive and helpful, which unfortunately is rare these days. It is amazing to me how people who come together virtually can rally around and help each other reach a goal.

Thank you all for being so supportive and such great people. Looking forward to the future.

Hey all, my name is Sherrie. I am 55 years YOUNG, LOL. I reside in the small town (1,080) of Kamiah, Idaho. I moved here 8 years ago from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where I lived most all of my life. I ended up in this small town because 1) I met a man who lived here (but I'm no longer with him) 2) My job at Briggs & Stratton (24 years there) was moving a lot of its operations to Mexico, and 3) I had promised myself that I would make a major change in my life if something were to happen to my mom, which did. She passed away at the same time that my job was downsizing and I was going through a divorce. I am pretty much settled here now that time has passed, although I sometimes miss the conveniences of the city! My son lives with me, he's 20. He scripts games on an online server he and a friend run. I work as a waitress 4 days a week. I also have a little dog named Snickers. She's part min-pin, wiener dog, and taco dog (okay, I can't spell the names of the last two, LOL)
I love my vaping and happened upon it only by trying out a friends 808-D e-cig one day. Got hooked and been off on a tangent ever since (8 months, 2 weeks analog free!)

Oh alright! If everyone else is doing it, might as well spill my guts too :D

I'm Bill, 65 yrs old, retired, born and raised in Virginia. 11 years ago, I married a wonderful girl I met on the internet, and yes, we're still together and couldn't be happier (5 kids between us, ranging from 18 to 43).

I was a 2 PAD smoker for 50 years, then quit for 3 years, because my wife became allergic (she had been a smoker for years, too). Then one of our son's friends brought over a Greensmoke and we discovered she wasn't allergic to vapor! (YAY!)

We went thru many of the same PV's as some of you, I even built one that turned out pretty well. But I finally wound up in REOville back in May, I just got tired of all the fiddling around and mess.

I'm a hobby-a-holic, got a closet full of guitars, cameras, guns, leatherworking tools, heck, I've lost track of all the stuff I've tried for 2-20 years, but it was a load of fun along the way. These days, I mostly sit back and vape while I *consider* new hobbies...and think up new excuses to buy another REO :) :) :)

HI, Ill jump in too. I'm Nina, I've been living in the PNW for 11 years now. I moved here to be with my soulmate :) My sisters old roomate. Funny how things work. I'm 39 (ouch) and have successfully kicked a 1-2 ppd 27 year habit and I couldn't be more thrilled. I'd never have accomplished it without kind people here willing to share their experience, well that and my obsession in general for vaping.
Hubby and I didn't do kids but have 3 lovely furry cat kids who I adore. I work as a caterer part time which I really enjoy, but went to school for interpreting for the deaf and special education. My Hubby is an engineer who refuses to make mods for me, but now I have the Reo, I forgive him :)
We love spending our time fishing, camping, gardening, shooting guns, and of course our weekly Bacon BBQ Bonanza. LOL well Thats all I'll cop to now. Have a great day!
