These posts will be based around truthful stressful events, in which people will reply with serious - and not so serious - reactions to the events in hopes of letting a little pressure off the situation.
Basically post whatever you want as a reply - post as many rants as you want in a day, if you don't get more replies than others over your rant don't be a cry baby about it.
So here's the first what if:
DirtyBlackSocks goes to the supermarket to get groceries for his kids - he begins to pay with a credit card when he realizes "Hey, I've got a $50 gift card in my wallet!" so he hits cancel on the credit slip. The lady at the register says "Oh wait.....nevermind it didn't go through" and you happily slide your gift card, making your balance of 54.97 go down to 4.97 which you then put on your credit card.
The next morning you look at your card statement to get a feel for what you can blow cash on for the day when holy hell WTFBBQ there's a charge for $54.97 and a charge for $4.97 pending on your account.
You grab both receipts and rush over to the super market to ream the boss a new one, after punching a couple holes in your walls and scaring your wife because you couldn't find the car keys. These two charges will make your account overdraft, and your family is on a budget that cannot let that happen - period.
Mind you I'm 6'4" with a beard dyed red, covered in tattoo's, and I was a Ranger in the Army. I can be a scary looking dude when I'm ...... off - and I think the manager saw the murderous "I'm gonna snap your neck like a chicken bone and steal all the beer in this supermarket if you don't fix this now" glint in my eye.
So promises are made - including refunds to be paid if overdraft fee's go through on this account. Great, happy days again - time to go home, apologize to the wife for punching a hole in the wall as she's waking up and take a couple xanax to relieve from of that PTSD stress.
Next morning here I am - in a much calmer mood today - I'm relaxed for some reason. BAM, I check my bank account and there it is two ADDITIONAL CHARGES of 54.97 and 4.97 bringing my bank account total from 3 dollars and some odd change to a whopping -$273 dollars.
I think I'm going to drop my kid off at school, get my money refunded along with all overdraft charges - and take a fifth of whiskey for my troubles.
