Now that's a puny little thing. I kinda like the smaller mods. Been eyeing that Vapor Shark lately. Really small yet weighty.

I haven't bought ammo in a long while. I have my 25 count box of Hornaday 38 cal jacketed hollow points for uninvited guests so I'm in good shape there. I figure if I need more than 25 then I'm going to prison anyway.

I've had the Vaporshark dna since June. So far, I like it OK. I really like the heft and feel of this little box. And with the rubber Shark Skin I am confident it won't roll or slide around when the boat's a-rockin'. With a little Cyclone atomizer on top, it's a tiny little stealth machine. What I don't like is the 1300mAh battery (they do have an 18650 rDNA model). I always have 3 or more vaporizers with me and I still manage to run this one down most of the time. Sure, I'm nearly always close to a charging source, but I find it more convenient to replace a battery. Also, I don't like the dna's lack of buck circuitry, but I knew that going in.

I do seem to pick it up almost every day, but I don't keep any ADV flavors on it. It usually has Peppermint Blast for occasional taste bud shocking. (Or for breath freshener :) ) All in all, I'm glad I bought it.

Come to Papa!! It amazes me somewhat that it's only been a little over 36 hours since it first shipped out of here. Why can't USPS do this for shipping stuff here as well?! :)

The turnaround time from House of Hybrids was nothing short of amazing though. It landed there at 10a.m yesterday and was picked back up by FedEx at 12:30p.m.

It should have been quick. But nothing amazing about it. No troubleshooting needed. All they had to do was rip the guts out of it, push the new guts in, give it a test and throw it back in the box. :)

I think they did a lot more work on it than that, David. replaced buttons and something else can't remember now.

Buttons, connector, spring and whatever else needed done. What could also have happened, is that they just sent out a new ZNA 30 module section as a replacement for the older one. I won't know for sure until it's in my hands, whic should be in a few hours. ;)

2 hour turnaround to me IS amazing, because it would mean that they don't have much else to work on, and were able to grab my case as soon as it showed up at their workbench. I was expecting atleast 24 hrs at the shop.

Bridget love the blue color. It is an awesome little mod, basically same battery life as MVP but much smaller and light weight. Runs the KFL with ease...
They are just coming out but price range has been $35 - $50.

Well, that's a lot less than the Vapor Shark. $190. But it is a DNA30.

I don't get the weighty thing for mods. I just checked and the XPV with a full KFL is about 6oz. +/-. Need to get a digital scale. But I like that it's light weight. Ok never mind I'm weird. Can't drip till I make new coils. Broke one changing the wick. I hate when that happens. :glare:

Lightweight is user friendly to be sure. But weight is durability...this, coming from an old metals person. It's one of those, "To each their own" thing.

Twist, I would likely get the rDNA30 with the 18650 capacity. Got a question, do people rotate batteries in the rDNA30? It has that external USB charging port as if to suggest the battery needs to remain in the box for charging. But it also appears you can remove the back panel and rotate batteries. Perhaps not the most convenient access but it can be done. My gripe with the small DNA30 is the integrated battery. Can't rotate batteries so once it is dead you have to wait for it to charge again...not to mention you have to send it in once the battery dies.

Truthfully, I don't know if I would get a DNA30 but if I did,the rDNA30 looks most interesting. A nice, small, compact unit that has heft. Much smaller than the Hana and more weight. That impresses me.

That's more likely what they did.

That's true. I just didn't like the dead weight in my pocket. And with the tube I had to turn it off for fear of firing. So most of the time it was in my hand.

Yes, the biggest negative of a weighty mod is that it is not pocket friendly. No two ways about that. Honestly, I don't have any pocket friendly PVs so I just don't put it there anymore. Kind of a disadvantage.

Dust..reverse battery protection? That must be new on the DNA's, huh? PB would complain profusely about that.

You can see it in the first and third pic. It's the little black delrin ring around the connector. Prevents the battery making contact with the actual connector if upside down. Simple and effective! :)

I see. That is a simple fix. Done by Zen and not Evolv. So button top only batteries huh?

The recommended battery is a button top. AW IMR button top to be exact. :)

I was watching a Hana review the other day...can't remember by who...maybe that Spazz. Anyway, Hana recommended an AW IMR at power levels below a certain point (can't remember the level) and a Sony battery (can't remember which one) at levels above that...that is, where you typically set it. Only time I ever saw that recommendation.

I'm a bit confused by this:

Too low power setting: The DNA 30D puts out a minimum of 4 volts. With low power settings (7 to 8
watts) and low resistance atomizers (below 2 ohms) the DNA will sometimes be unable to provide a low
enough power output to be power regulating. If this is the case, the Ohms display will be flashing. The
device will still operate.

I've got a 1.4ohm coil on the KFL and have it set for 10W. It says it does not put out anything under 4v, and yet it's firing the coil at 3.8v. The ohms are flashing and it made me look up why.

Am I going to need to go back to my 1.5ohm plus builds on here?

I saw on some video review (again,do not remember who) that said the DNA will go down to 0.5ohms but it will start flashing at around 0.7 or 0.8 ohms just as a warning. Still works to 0.5 but just alerts you as you approach it. Not sure about how it handles volts.
