That's sort of like saying all of the clones are the same...

All I meant was they carry the same stuff that you would get elsewhere.. An Ehpro clone from Slowtech would be the same as an Ehpro clone from XYZvapershop.

I had sort of thought you were just joking .... but what you say is true... My issue is then they seldom list which manufacturer made a specific product sku so unless you get a link to one that someone says "this is brand x"... it's a gamble

That it is.. but then one would argue that is the case with most clones anyway. One from brand X works well, another from brand X does not. Luck of the draw any which way. Ofcourse, there are some that are just blatantly bad, but then I've noticed an alarming trend of "Originals" that are really crappy quality being released in the last few months.

I haven't noticed a trend with crappy originals but you are right about Brand X from Store A being different than Brand X in Store B. And even Brand X being different in the same store (like LA's and my Veritas).

Let's just say our coverage of the forum and it's going ons are slightly different, as far as finger on pulse of things. There have been a lot of users complaining about a lot of original stuff that they paid good money for. :)

I don't doubt you. All I'm saying is I haven't seen it. About the only originals I pay attention to lately are kayfun and Veritas.

Volt, the iStick and MVP both can have center pin issues. I only have the iStick but have read the same about the MVP. I just added an o-ring under the center pin of my iSticks (and my sister's). Hers would only work with one of her tanks, now it works with both. It's a bit of a pain but I managed to get all 3 done without breaking anything.

Lockheed Martin was kind enough to load me with 2 Lithium Ion Battery cases today. They told me to take one home and mod it out. You guys think 150w mod is big...wait for mine!

Finally! Batteries with capacity measured in mAd (milliamp days). Or would those be good for mAm? mAy?

I guess it all depends on the coil. If you need help winding it, these folks seem to know what they're doing.

ETA: I wonder if you can get that coil jig at the hobby store?

Finally decided to build a coil on my KFL+ clone today, and it was a complete beauty. :) Unfortunately, the base seems to be DOA. I can't get an ohm reading off it, and it won't fire. :( Just created a support ticket with FT. I hope they answer.
Volt , I second Bridget's advice , try pulling the center pin up on the MVP with a small screwdriver , go slowly and pry it up a little at a time .

My advice: Shop elsewhere. Slowtech sucks! :)
Slowtech shipped my last order out 6hrs after I placed it , I'm changing their name back to Fasttech . :) Got it 9 days later which is excellent considering I had to use singapore post , I ordered a rechargeable ohm meter with a built in battery so USPS wasn't an option . Also got an SXK Rose from them . I'm quite happy with both . BTW my order never showed up on USPS tracking so it was a total surprise when it showed up .

Maybe I should change their name to LowTech.

Try changing USPS to Notech . :)

I have a few keys on my laptop that work only when they feel like it...namely the spacebar and left shift key. I spend more time editing than I do typing it. So I ordered some replacement keys with corresponding parts. They're coming via regular USPS from Los Angeles. I'm expecting it to take a week to go coast to coast. Meanwhile, this laptop is driving me nuts!

I think I figured out what the issue is. The screw is like half a millimeter too short. It won't work on any of my 510 devices, but will work on a 510 to 901 adapter on an 808. The adapter is kinda short and doesn't screw all the way in, so it makes contact with it.

Anyway, they answered my support ticket. We'll see how that goes.

I honestly think the 510 on the KFL isn't the real issue , if you used the Magma on the MVP you've probably forced the center pin down on the MVP , I have to readjust the center pin on my Panzer following use of the Magma on it to get anything else to work , it's worth a try to pry it up first , it will take a month shipping both ways if FT issues a return ticket for the KFL base and you're likely to have the issue with the replacement .

My clearos, tanks, KFM, and Magma, all work fine on the same batteries right now. This leads me to believe that the issue has to be related to the base on this particular one.
