21 days! She's good. Baby room is done. To go bag is ready and now just waiting for the boy to pop out.

PicC, when my son was born (many years ago), we had all that stuff ready to go in a bag too. We got up that morning to go to the hospital, loaded the bag in the car . . . and the car wouldn't start.

We panicked and jumped in the other car . . . and forgot the bag.

Build 3 and 4.

I decided to try 30g ni200 for a change of pace. It looked fine, then fired it up without TP to check for hot spots and crimp a bit. Must have crimped too hard and snapped the coil right in half. Put the 30g away, no problems with the 28g. So that's the lesson of the day. 28g is nice beginner gauge.

Okay, so I know this is stupid, but I've been nursing a bunch of protanks along for over a year or so by recoiling the heads repeatedly with a needle, silica, and a hand wrapped coil. Never tried a pre-wrapped coil with cotton or anything else. Oh, I have a Genny with mesh that I was forever fiddling with, but that gets old.

Today, and just because I have one of those Aquas coming, I tried premade coil with cotton wick. On a Protank head lol. Got one that works first try. Its a pretty high 3.8 ohms firing at 7w/5.1v, but it works. Not bad either. I'm ready for the rba world, what do ya know.

It's much easier than I thought it would be. But I don't try for anything fancy.

Funny story... When I first came around and I read about "rebuildables" I thought people were actually building the tanks themselves. Like I expected a bunch of soldering and cut plumping pieces!

Have fun Ice!
I'm sure I will, thanks! I'm gonna start single coil and then venture into dual coil sub ohm. Nothing crazy tho.

I was SO good at rebuilding ProTank heads. I guess it's why I straightway took to rebuilding micros. Great practice with those POS little itty bitty heads. :)

I got pretty good at it too, just never attempted with threading cotton through that teeny tiny coil.

Seriously...if you can do protank heads you can do anything.

    That's what I'm hoping.
