Fixed it darn spell correct gets me if I'm not looking. I didn't thing you would be. Really didn't like the air flow adjustment. And what was it 3mil? Isn't that what the KFL holds?

It was between 3.85 - 4.00 mls depending on which tank option you used. The KFL is around 4.5mls. I have heard nothing but negative since Todd's review hit the airwaves. And from P3 users too. That hybrid thread would be nice but hardly anything that would get me off my chair.

Have at it Robin.

Seeing how it comes put together, ok. All the stuff I have to go through to put the P3 threading? Not so thrilled. If I could order it assembled with the p3 threading already attached? Maybe more happy.

The KFL+, I don't like the airflow screw. For some reason, on both of them, that screw wiggles its way out. If it comes up enough above the surface (and it doesn't take much) the dang thing is almost impossible to get off the Provari. Well on the P2 anyway. Once I figured out what the heck was going on, I always check that screw every time I refill. I like a bit tighter airflow, so it does suck that it slowly works its way open.

I like the fill from the top feature. That would make filling while on the road a lot easier.
You know we travel a LOT. Being able to just close the fill holes? OMG Ideal! Like Dusty stated, that makes it MUCH better for air travel. If you don't do a lot of that, you wouldn't appreciate what that means to someone like me that does fly a lot.

At first, all those parts intimidated me. Then it was like, as long as I have a template... It's doable.

At first those four screws on the deck  Say what?!?! Then I see where Todd had one coil... Ok, I can do that.

I will wait till 'normal' people review, unless hubby took the hint on my FaceBook page

On the fence at the moment.

Try wrapping that screw with some teflon tape and see if that cinches it up for you. Odd, my Plus does not do that.

Well, I hope the K4 is a hit for you. It's just a big disappointment for me. I'm kind of sitting here looking at my KFLs with a renewed sense of affection. :)

Robin, I'm perplexed about your airflow screws coming out. I don't spend anytime on kayfun threads, is it a common issue?

I liked the closed juice flow feature. Can someone explain to me the benefit or need for juice flow control?

The K4 is pretty, but I'm not interested in buying one either. Now if it landed in my lap like a contest or something, sure I'd use it and love it.

1 hour till cyber Monday!!!

I feel like I've been vaping this thing forever. This is what it looks like and it's still hasn't hit protection and no change in flavor. image.jpg

Robin, I haven't touched the air-flow screw in my KFL plus since the day I set it. I've had it set in the fully open position, flush with the base and it has stayed there, period.

Is your grub screw loose in the threads, can you move it side to side? It's the only way I can see it wriggling out.

Retic, I hope you got in on the Aqua V2. I just got this email from FastTech.

"Thank you for ordering this item SKU 1980900(OEM Aqua V2 RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer) at FastTech.com.

As you may have noticed, this item is removed from our product listing for now. The original owner of this item Footoon has appealed the OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) factory to terminate supply to FastTech. However, please be assured your order won’t be affected and the original OEM version will be shipped to you as per the schedule.
"

Proof positive that it is the original item..for $35. Score!! :D

Okay, so I know this is stupid, but I've been nursing a bunch of protanks along for over a year or so by recoiling the heads repeatedly with a needle, silica, and a hand wrapped coil. Never tried a pre-wrapped coil with cotton or anything else. Oh, I have a Genny with mesh that I was forever fiddling with, but that gets old.

Today, and just because I have one of those Aquas coming, I tried premade coil with cotton wick. On a Protank head lol. Got one that works first try. Its a pretty high 3.8 ohms firing at 7w/5.1v, but it works. Not bad either. I'm ready for the RBA world, what do ya know.

ever try using a silica wick from the tank to the build bed and laying a wad of rayon on top of the wick and then using a horizontal nano coil on the genny??? gives dripper quality with a tanks supply

Why would you not recoil after you've vaped all the juice out? The K4 is for the hard core enthusiasts who want to monkey around. I've had enough building experience where I'm past the monkeying around phase. I build it, it works, and I don't need to look at it again until I'm ready to dry burn and change the wick. That always happens at the end of a tank when it's already drained. Just don't get it Dust. They want a hefty price for that thing and I'm simply not seeing any one thing that improves flavor or vape quality (at least the P3 gave us the boost feature that significantly improves the vape experience). That air adjustment is cheesy too. If I'm talking to Robin, I tell her to save her money.

And is it that hard to drain your tank that makes it worth $200 to upgrade to a K4?

The is a lot of $$ to dish out for an atty, but someone might want to rewick before they finish the tank, i.e. thick NETs that gunk up a coil quickly, as soon as you get a drop in flavor close it up open it, rewick and yer good to go again. :2cool:

Anyway, I won't be getting one any time soon, either. No cash for it, or anything else just now.

Evening Army!

Question: Is 56 and a two year veteran of vaping too old to have a vapegasm? I believe I found my sweet build on the Rose tonight - 1.3 ohm, 4 wraps of twisted 30g @ 11 Watts, 3.9 Volts. Pirate's Booty has never tasted so good! Hopefully, it doesn't gunk up as quick as N.E.T.coms juice. Hoping to get at least two tanks from this build.

Off to feed the yeasty beasties. May be back later.

Cheers, :toast:

And I don't know if Vapin Bill will see this, but THANK YOU for sharing about the FB user group. A wealth of knowledge over there, and I could not have made that coil without them. If anyone wants good solid info on the DNA 40-TP, check that group out.

You are most welcome.

That looks like an awesome tool for building coils. I wish you had posted this yesterday before I placed my order with FT (it already shipped).

I went to the local arts and crafts store yesterday and found a coil builder in the jewelry making section for 11.00 before the 40% discount on total purchase:

And for those perfectly even spaced wraps for your mesh builds, wood screws. [emoji2]

After watching Todd's review, what I got out of it was an atty that costs $200, has 42 parts, and vapes like a Kayfun. I have Kayfuns. The added bells and whistles is nothing but inconsequential obstructions.
