Craftsman #000 x 1 in. Screwdriver
Item: 41646 | Model: 502-030C

Okay, if you get the Aqua2, this is the exact size screwdriver you will need to fit the screws. Luckily I have 3 different sets of precision screwdrivers. (I use them for my fishing reels) Two sets are pretty good. One is the cheapest set they have. The cheap set did NOT have the right size screwdriver for these screws on the Aqua2. So I had to go digging in my serious toolbag....lol. Yes, so I am a woman, and I do have a little tool collection.

I got the Aqua2 in this afternoon. I have been vaping on it. I decided to give it the same build as what is on the kayfun right now. I have some Pirate's Booty in it, at the moment. It was effortless to put it together, and fill it. Those sqeeze bottles from Lightning Vapes worked perfectly for those fill holes. I did have to steal the drip tip from the panmag. I only have that one spare, and it is now not really a spare. I ordered some drip tips from FT. They shipped today. (after several days of waiting) So it will be back and forth for a while. I went to the local brick and mortar recently. Their drip tips are awful. Anyway, I am considering doing a dual coil for the Aqua2. Yes, crazy, I know.

Mainly I bought them for my classic fly reels. I have several. I also have several conventional reels too. I love reels. I have a few rods too. I love going out and catching some fish, let me tell you! Oh, I am particular about my tools for my reels too. They go in a certain bag. I had to get the precision kind, because if you don't use them, you will mess up your screws. I haven't bought a reel in ages. I don't need anymore...lol. I used to get some on Ebay. I cleaned them up, lubed them, and hell, I even waxed a lot of them. I got blue collar reels, and made them sing again. I like 'em loud, and proud. None of my conventional reels are classics. Probably only 3-4 are decent. I have more fishing stuff than most guys, and definitely most gals too. I have always liked fishing since I was a little kid. I still have lures from when I was in the USN too.

So you do the fly fishing, eh?

I have some Shimanos and Abu Garcia's. Mine are older too. Baitcast and spincast. I use the baitcasting the most but my fave reel is a Shimano Stradic 2000. It's gotta be 20 years old and it was top of the line in those days (you can spend anything you want on a reel now). Back then it was $110 and was considered obscene. But like you, I babied that thing. Tore it down, cleaned and lubed it and treated it as if it were a part of the family. Still going strong. :)

Now you're talking. I like both brands very much. I have two Shimano reels. I also have Abu Garcia bait casting reels. One of them is still pretty. The other was given to me, and it was beat up, but still works. You can't beat an old Abu Garcia baitcaster. I had an Abu Garcia rod back in the early to mid 80's. If finally broke. It wasn't an expensive one anyway. I loved conventional fishing. But once I started fly fishing, I rarely do the conventional anymore. My dad was a big time Zebco fan. He used to buy a lot of reels at garage sales. I got some of his stuff when he passed away. My brother is also big into fishing. He won't fly fish though. I even tie my own flies. (not the tiny ones, I can't see them) I have been tying flies now since the beginning of 2008 or so.

Yeah, Shimano is not the best but they're better than most. Abu remains an excellent reel. I have an open faced Abu baitcaster that I use on a musky rod for the big toothy critters in Canada. The rest is light/medium on super sensitive graphite rods 6 - 7 feet. I love my Smallmouth fishing (and where my handle comes from). I messed with my bud's fly fishing gear for awhile and just couldn't get into it. I have a lot of respect for it though. And it definitely has its advantages in certain situations. You know, after all these years the best Smallie lure is still those little inline bucktail spinners like a Mepps. Just change the size or color or cadence to adjust for the mood of the fish. You could use them exclusively for Smallies if you had to.

Bronze, I am a big fan of inline spinners. Did I mention I make my own of them too? LOLLLLLLLL. I told you I loved fishing. Well, to keep it real.... I just finished doing another coil on the Aqua2. Brought it down to a 1.8 ohm. Tomorrow, I think I just may make a dual coil set up. Ha. We will see how that goes.

I made a NY resolution to cut my spending down on PV's and ..RBA's so I can just stay focused on juice. I spend a good $200 a month in juices along trying different ones. I've got enough stockpiled to last me awhile now so huum..maybe just a little RBA buy? :p

Okay well I think I need some help. For some idiotic reason I decided to change the coil out on the Kayfun. I have done others, no problem. So I decided to check the drip cup, while I was at it, and look at the insulator too. The insulator looked like it needed changing. I bought the Kayfun kit at Lightning Vapes. It has the insulators, and the o rings, as y'all right remember. I already did the o rings. Today I decided to go ahead and change the insulators. The top one where the air hole is, went in fine. The one in the bottom, was a beast to get out of there. So I got it out finally, and put in the new one. The older one was thin, and touched the bottom of the hole. The top part of it, did not meet the top, where you put in the screw. I noticed as I put the screw in, that the screw was going down further than it looked previously. It was close to flush with that 510 threading. I barely got it the slightest big snug, and it was flush, or maybe just a little below there. I knew that wasn't right. So I pushed the insulator up a little, and tried it again. That seemed better. Put the multimeter on it, and it showed close to the ohms I thought it would be. Then I decided to put it on the iStick and fire it up, and pinch the coil a little tighter. When I did that, it showed 0 ohms. Not good. So I put the multimeter back on it. Still shows ohms. Put it on the MVP2, it was not showing ohms either. I hope that the insulator I put in, is compatible with this Kayfun. If not I will have to buy a new one. Thoughts?
