There's a couple of DNA40 owners on here , but I never thought to recommend an Aqua V2 to them , wasn't sure about nickel builds on a through post design . How does it vape ?

Hmm. So I've tried dual coil rta with Ni200 before and it didn't work so well (was doing contact coils), so I've been sticking to kanthal for them. And besides, it's really a challenge getting a decent resistance with duals, given how tiny the decks of dual coil RTAs are.

Seems like the dual 3mm 30ga works. But I mean it's a nightmare to work with imo.

Also, with kanthal I run dual 3/32 id, 28ga and I think 7 wraps. At 25 watts the vapor production off the Aqua v2 is honestly ridiculous. It's massive and it's dense as hell. I actually cannot vape on it when I'm driving.

With the Ni200, it's super important to make sure the post screws are snug, yet at the same time you gotta worry about tightening it too much and chopping the leads off, especially for the 30ga which is super thin and soft.

Performance wise... I mean. That's a ton of wires. I find that even at 30watts, I get slightly less volume of vapor than kanthal at 25 watts, and it's much less dense.

So..... I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking to kanthal for my dual coil RTAs

Kiwi, I appreciate your build pics on the Aqua to see the wicking. I don't have a DNA40, but I did rewick my Aqua five times in three days. Your pics confirm what I found out - the "shoulders" matter. And the amount trailing into the juice channels matters.

The Aqua vapor is phenomenal - dense enough that even with my single coil build I have to be careful when driving. It's interesting to hear about the difference in vapor on a nickel build. Thanks for the comparison.

    Retic, you're a good interviewer. :)

Imo the Aqua is an incredible atty.

The only weakness in the design (another imo) is that the chamber section is one single piece, and screws onto the tank to hold juice. This means that your wicking can look fine and dandy, but there's no way to check if it got all mangled up when you screw the deck on.

A design like the fogger v4 would have been awesome: screw barrel section on, adjust wick if necessary, then screw it on to the rest of the tank assembly. Oh well. Regardless, the Aqua v2 with kanthal is a phenomenal vape.

Yeah I imagine doing a dual ni200 would be a bear. I have a hard time getting any build higher than 0.14. I really think the Squape R with the W deck is the easiest tank for single coil nickel. Day 3 on it and no problems now that I figured out the wicking.

I've seen some people running series coils and having good luck.

Did you also get your sig100 from the coop?

No, I burned out on a co-op a couple years ago, and won't join any more. I got mine locally around 2 months ago, I think.

Any chance you would like leather case for it? I ran a coop for it and realized I don't use them

Question, and I'll check back later to see what the 'experts' say....

Single coil. Air draws across coils. Variable Air Flow preferred. Under 20mm in diameter, yet room to work inside. What am I looking for ?
I really like the RM2's, and I might just get the LP RM2. I also like the BF Veritas that Chowderhead sent me, very good. I am loosing patience with the Kayfun, as I don't seem to draw hard enough for the "Sucker Feed" to work properly. (you suck, it feeds. poor design.)
The new Woods will be available within the next 6- 8 weeks, and I will be participating. Hey, it's a Reos ! Might even go for a Resin Reos as well. But these newer mods are going to feature the 'Low Profile' juice wells. I guess not to many are using the same atomizers / cartomizers we were all using a few years back, no need for the juice well any more. Sooo.. I will be thinking of expanding my RBA assortment to match these LP Mods coming out.

You seek an Atomic BF atty grasshoppa..better known as an RM4. :)

Make sure your wick is touching the deck, or laying across it - near the juice channels but not blocking them.

I think my veritas is screwed, I can't get it to tighten up enough to keep it steady anymore. I'm pretty well screwed. I don't have the money to replace it. I am stuck with it for at least 2 weeks. Then I need to find myself a very well built marquis clone or a cheap authentic.
