All I'm waiting on is for them to implement VW , I don't think that's to much to ask for , if I'm gonna spend that amount of money I wants what I want ! :)

As long as they have been working on the V3 I expect it'll do that. I wouldn't be surprised if there new chip rivaled or surpassed the DNA30. From the video I'd say it'll be out in time for you know what. I'm not saying it.

More advanced than I started out with too. Like Bronze, I started with a ProSmoke piece of crap. :facepalm: Didn't GT also have a ProSmoke?

Yeah Chak. GT started with a ProSmoke too. What a total piece of krap that was. An automatic battery. What a failed concept. They still send me emails.

I started with a KGO and cartos. It worked well enough to keep me off of the stinkies. I pretty quickly went to clearos instead of cartos. Then I got a V-Tube (lavatube clone), a Reo and a Silver Bullet, and graduated to the Vivi Novas.

With the Provari and the HCigar Kayfun 3.1's, I feel like I'm in vape nirvana.

Have you ever had a bad wicking day?

On my last day off (Tuesday), I cleaned out both HHV KFL+ clones and rewicked with cotton. Filled both tanks. I like for them to sit overnight so the wicks are nice and saturated and they are ready for me when I leave for work, since that's where/when I mostly use them (work days). Wednesday comes and an hour before work I set the Heavenly ARMY tank up with the Sentinel M16 clone and take a few drags... was that a dry hit??? :blink:

I've never had a dry hit with a KFL clone. Never. So I try again... dry hit? weird flavor. Was that the cotton? Almost tastes like paint; I say that because I recently moved into a different room, which had been freshly painted and there's still that smell around. Could the paint fumes have saturated my cotton stash? Or worse -- my liquids??? :confused::mad:

Upset, I leave it until my next day off, which is today, Thursday. But I couldn't help myself. And so last night, I tried the tanks again, after a few dry pulls to get the air bubbles flowing and wicking. But no, either dry hits, or nasty paint-like flavor. **Sigh**

So today, with a trusty syringe I extracted all of the liquid from the tank and tear it apart, dread filling me as I unscrew the chimney not wanting to look upon the devastation of blackened burnt up cotton... but it was there, unblemised, taunting me like a little wet worm.:glare::ohmy:

What the heck???

But I had torn it all apart, I might as well finish re-wicking it and get it all back together. So as I'm dry burning the coils, I smelled it -- that smell -- that flavor -- it was the kanthal. Plain old kanthal wire with liquid on it. That's what I was getting when I vaped it -- that was all that I tasted, the kanthal.

NOT ENOUGH WICK.:shock::-x

Simple, really.

Luckily I had a syringe available to reuse the liquid and nothing was contaminated by cotton cinders. And both HHV tanks survived to vape another day. :w00t:

I've been pretty lucky with my coiling/wicking, even when I was using SS mesh in gennies. But I did have one bad day with a KFL+. In my case, all of my KFs had vertical chimney coils surrounded by cotton. I apparently put too much cotton in when rewicking and blocked the air flow. Some have described it like "sucking a golf ball through a garden hose." Not a biggy, I pulled out the juice and moved the cotton around and inserted my mandrel through the coil to clear things up. Put the juice back in and it was still bad.

Ok, this time I'll redo the wick. I build my chimney coils with the coil pressed all the way down to the air hole, but had seen several people recommend raising it up a little. So I raised it just to see. Filled it and it vaped fine. Cool, out I go with plenty of batteries and juice. Next time I picked up that setup there was juice all over the ProVari and in the car's cup holder. Arrrgh! I HATE leaky juice! That's why I love KFLs - they don't leak!

I kind of doubt it was the raising of the coil that caused it since several people build their vertical coils that way. I suspect I didn't have the top portion of the chimney tightened down enough. Or maybe I didn't have the cotton wrapped exactly right for the raised coil. Whatever, I took it all apart and decided to go back to a horizontal coil. They're so much easier to rewick. I went with a few wraps of Mundy's Magic wire this time. A few wraps at 0.55Ω wicked with KGD cotton and it taste's GREAT!

I ran a couple of tanks of Gaia through it and took it apart to change/inspect the wick. Wow, Gaia burns clean - no reason to replace the wick. I did anyway just because I was already in there and wanted to fill with a different flavor. Still working great.
