The Vamo has plated brass , weak threads are still an issue with them , if you order a Vamo get a stainless steel 510 adapter to protect your threads .

I believe my VAMO has ss threads. I haven't used it in a very long time. But it's old and I got it from Tropical Vapors. Like lots of stuff these days, a name doesn't mean much. A VAMO has been copied by a million different places these days.

It's mostly KSD these days and I'm seeing the same complaint about their E-Huge , they built the mod like a tank and topped it off with soft threads , go figger .

I have no idea what version VAMO they're up to these days. I think mine was a V2. It's old and I cannot speak to the newer versions one iota.

Vamo V3, - V5 have the plated brass tops... not sure about V1 and V2. There is a V5 in the B&M and its SS body but brass threads :(

Okayyy... been using the Hades by hCigar for a couple of days now...

Initial view... shiny and smooth, threads are nice. The spring that is installed is quite stiff... you need a strong finger to activate it. What is nice tho is the mod comes with a magnet set to replace the spring, suggest using the magnets, they are still a bit stiff due to the shear size ( dia.) of the magnets..
Since the finish is so smooth, damp palms make gripping it a challenge when trying to activate the switch.
The push button needed some "adjustment" to the plunger part. It seems that during the machining process, they cut the top of the switch flat and sharp to the cylinder sides. The adjustment made was a rounding of the sharp edge, The interior of the switch housing ( female part) isnt finished as smooth as it should be, causes a gritty push, rounding the sharp edge of the button reduced the "snag a bility" quite a bit... to finish off the smoothness a copper based never seeze with dry graphite paste was inserted into the switch base to aide in the smoothness factor. A couple of days use has "polished" the interior of the switch housing and no longer is crunchy/grabby.
