Ummm , I'd use a dremel on the SW model 27 if I decide to reblue it , they're great for polishing , and since the MIL damaged it there's no issue with working on that one .

Things like this make me appreciate my 5.7 and other assorted stainless/polymer sidearms. :)

Nice to see this thread take a turn like this lol. After all, they weren't specific in the title of "Lets talk hardware", right?

Nope they weren't , the 27 was my father in laws from the 1950's , it's a rare piece with a 3 1/2 inch barrel . My MIL got a hold of it stashed it under a sofa and let it rust . It's a damned shame , S&W doesn't produce guns with the quality of blueing like this anymore , and the trigger is a delight on it as well . I gotta consider what to do with it now .

Let Chum Lee make an offer on it. :)

I'd like to see some pics of that 27, different angles, close ups. Yes. Yes I would.

I'll have to see if BK will post pictures of it for me sometime , I'm using a PS3 for internet access and the browser is very limited , I do also have an original 3 screw Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum in perfect condition , no transfer bar on it , just like a Colt S.A.A , it's from the early 60's , worth a chunk of change .

Pics would be GREAT! All I own these days is actual antiques and a replica or two (no clones!). Haven't even found a long rifle firing range 'round here yet - and I live near the largest US AFB in the world. I have been a bit distracted, lately.

Okay, so my first impression of Vapor Shark DNA30 is so-so. But as I was afraid, the 1200 mAh non-replaceable battery was a drag on its first day out of the house. It died way before a half day building a fish cleaning station - and I vape from 2-4 mods all day, every day. I have always liked having spare batteries, whether it be for cameras, flash lights, cam corders, weed whackers, or whatever. The VS proprietary battery's 1200mAh capacity is too wimpy for my vaping style.

The small form factor still deserves more time in my book, though (it DOES feel good in hand). I've only tested it with < 1 Ohm coils in the approx. 24 hours I've had it. Iunno, maybe higher ohms will have better performance. Still, the VS with its Shark Skin may be a benefit on a boat. And I do have plenty of 12V → USB adaptors. I just don't know if I will tolerate the lack of the convenient battery swaps that other mods offer.

I also think that a KFL+ is top heavy and less graceful on the VS than on any tube mod - mech or VV/VW (not saying that a KFL should be expected to be graceful on a small device). And I did have some sort of clearomizer on it this evening. Better balanced, but . . . well, it was only a clearo. Good for stealth, but I'm not much concerned about stealth in my environments.

Ugh. First day impressions: small form is cool - very cool for a box mod; low mAh is bad; lack of replaceable battery is very bad. I'll give it some time before I decide if it's worth keeping or not. But if you never leave the reach of a USB port, this is a remarkable device - within the standard Evolv DNA30 limitations (no buck circuitry).

No HHV juice was harmed or wasted in this experiment. Only tested with unflavored and other vendor's NETs. HHV is reserved for (IMO) proven successful setups.
