I prefer Rayon but you're probably better off ordering from Sally's Beauty Supply online than Ebay , you can get a lifetime supply from Sally's for $12 - 500ft . Graham CelluCotton Cotton Coil Congrats on the Magma and the kayfun , you have some good stuff headed your way !

Thanks a lot, but I wish you had posted this yesterday. :)

I bought 25 feet of the exact same rayon for $6.25. What a scam! LOL!

I also bought a 100 feet of 28g kanthal for $6.90. I hope I didn't screw up there as well.

Sorry , bookmark it for later use , the price on the kanthal is ok , I get mine from lightning vapes , same as Bronze , I have a general mistrust of ebay .

Any of you guys on this thread ever use a Taifun GT?

Taifun was one I was considering when the Kayfun came out. We all know how that choice went, and I've not had a reason to deviate from it.

But knowing now you like Starbuck's Swill, I don't know what to think. :)

Timmy's pretty much every morning! There was a crazy line-up at the Timmy's the day I walked into Starbucks. Didn't know what to order so took a good look at their menu and saw the Salted Caramel. Hmm.. wonder how this would taste?! ZOING!! Back the next day, and the next, and the next.. STOP!!

Chak, congrats on your new goodies! My KFL+ clones from Vape Royalty also have a fill hole too small for 18 gauge syringe tips that are usually recommended. I just use a syringe and a blunt tip needle, and it works perfectly.

Regarding rayon, I noticed something interesting in the Magma. When it's time to refill, if I open it soon after a vape, it looks like the well is empty. Then as it cools - which happens quickly - the juice in the rayon drains back into the well. I didn't notice that happening with cotton, but maybe it does the same thing. Looks like rayon wicks extra when the coil heats. If so, it helps explain why the flavor seems more intense with rayon IMO.

Another Magma note: in both of my Infinite clones the posts are off-center. One well is narrower than the other! Ack! My OCD! Anyone else notice this on an Infinite Magma clone?

When she was little, my youngest used to complain when I ground Starbucks coffee beans in the morning (I no longer drink Starbucks). She said it smelled like skunk.

LA, it's like that on my authentic Magma as well. I'll try and take a pic so you can compare it more better when I'm done running in and out of the storms. Probably this weekend.

The posts on the genuine are off-center as well so the infinite clone is a 1to 1 copy , check out Todd's review of the genuine Magma on youtube , he talks about it , it's got to do wiith the position of the insulater and how the positive post connects to the 510 , it's the design , not a fault .

Thanks, Calve! No need to take pics - my OCD is satisfied knowing it's designed that way. Here's to the end of those storms! :toast:

And thanks to you too, Retic! It's funny that I didn't notice until now. Guess the vapegasms had me too distracted. Now my OCD can shut up. Time to grab a beer!

Been watching a lot of RDA reviews. The Veritas has caught my eye. But it is expensive ($120). I have found only one clone...Tobeco. I've read too many negatives about Tobeco and will not buy anything from them. I wrote Vape Royalty to see if there is another clone maker who has this in the works. He wrote back and said he's checking with his purchasing department. I want a quality clone maker to offer this before I will buy it. Anyhow, here is the review from Todd. There are several others who reviewed it too with similar opinions. Sadly, this was not one of Todd's best productions. The last two minutes explains why. But if you're interested, give this review a spin. Nice dripper.

I have a few questions I know you gurus and "double gurus" can answer. Now that Bronze mentioned clones, what is the best Provari clone out there? Is it the Vamo?

Also, I noticed different preferences between you guys regarding the number of wraps you like to do. I notice Dust and Chak like less wraps while Bronze likes to do a hundred if allowed. So what are the pros and cons of each method?

EDIT- One more question...did all of you guys have to drop nic levels and increase VG ratios when upgrading to RDA/RBA's? I worry my 18mg 70/30 PG/VG juices will be too harsh now.

Also, in case this info helps, I normally vape them in clearos (T4's around 2.5-2.7ohm), on spinners/twists set between 3.9 to 4.2 volts.

I'm not going to address the Provari clone thing, because frankly I haven't bought a regulated clone device in approximately 2.5 years.

The coils question, I can address. I change it up depending on what I'm going to be using my toppers on. My KFL's usually get around 8 wraps of 28g and go on my regulated devices (Provari and ZNA). I have 5 of them, and they are all around the 1.3 - 1.4 ohm mark.

The Magma's, of which I have 3, I've been experimenting with. Singles, Duals, Low wrap count singles etc etc. The only reason for that is because they are still relatively new to me and I'm trying to dial them in. Once I lock in a winning combo, I stick with it.

    Hope this helps.

wellll... there is no "clone" of the provari... not worth cloning. Altho there are several good VV/VW units for what they are worth... my choice would be the SVD...
its affordable, decently built, tuffer than the Vamos..

Coil design is pretty much a personal thing, it comes down to vape density, temp, flavor.... less wraps swings you more towards hi vape density and temps with a whole different taste characteristics from the juice.

I usually do 36 nic in my RSST, KF 3.1, R91, Magma... I have dropped the nic to about 20 for the Tobhs and Stillaire... but then again those 3 attys are running below .7 ohms on mechs...
