I have a Plume Veil too and that thing leaks like a sieve. The well is too shallow and it takes nothing to find the air holes. That thing is designed for cloud chasers anyway. It has three sources of airflow and you can flood that chamber with all the air you want.
Yeah my plume veil is in a drawer next to my magma, they both leak way too much for me to use

The IGo W6 I have is like that. 4 huge air channels but a very shallow deck. I can have those channels almost all the way shut and still lung hit it..

It's meant to drip and rip.. :)

Exactly. For the younger male crowd where vape performance is all that matters (convenience be damned). :)

All those rewicking pics reminded me that my Zenith Zipper coil was overdue for a dry burn. That happens a lot since I've been dripping nothing but monkey poo in it.

I've only tried two coils in the Veritas. Both duals, I built the first one by securing it to the positive post, then wrapping it around a mandrel as shown in some video I saw somewhere. I wanted to try a compressed micro dual, so I removed the old coil and straightened out the bit between the coils so I could measure the distance. Then I used the coil wrapping Gizmo to wrap the first coil, run a straight wire that distance down the mandrel and wrap the second coil.

I really need to get my Adobe products on this computer since I'm such a wimp with Gimp, but maybe you can see what I mean here:

Sorry, I have no recollection what that distance was.

ETA: Forgot to mention that this 0.7Ω Veritas has been dedicated to Pirate's Booty. It has never tasted better in any atty build I've tried. It makes PB taste better than it does on my builds on the Nuppin' and on the Odin - two of my favorite atties.

Twist, what ga on that dual coil?

I totally forgot. So I vaped it dry (didn't need to, just couldn't help it) and measured the wire. It calipered out to .32ish mm, so I'm thinking it's 28 gauge Kanthal. Heats and cools very quickly on my Nanos mech.

ETA: Steam Engine seems to agree.

You would be correct. .32mm = 28 ga.

Hello everyone. I recently tried the Aspire Nautilus, and it seems to me like just another tank but with airflow control. I find it performs similar to the Maxi, Mini Vivi, etc., but is much more expensive. To tell you the truth, now that I've been vaping almost exclusively on the KFM, every tank I've used before seems to blow in comparison (Nautilus included). I think I've definitely been "Kayfunned". Magma who? ;) J/K

BTW, got a message yesterday from fasttech saying that the KFL+ clone I ordered wasn't really in stock due to an inventory error, and that they weren't sure when it would be. They offered me my money back if I didn't wanna wait. I said I'd rather wait, and it shipped 8 hours later.

Those coils are fascinating. Nice looking duals on the Veritas. They'll make a good guide if/when I want to try duals on my clones.

I bought a Nautilus just before being Kayfunned. Decent tank, but expensive and nerve-wracking for out and about for fear of breaking it. The coil cartridges are expensive. My daughter bought it from me for her boyfriend. I just didn't use it. I do still have 2 Aspire BDC-ES clearos that are good flavor, great on my MVP, and cost less for cartridge replacements. They are glass with a metal sleeve around it. I like the draw on them more than I did the Nautilus.

Technically, the Aspires are called "glassomizers." I keep HHV Peppermint Blast in one and Menthol Ice in the other for the occasional minty vape. Vivid Smoke has them if you are interested. They are bottom dual coils at 1.8 - 2 ohms.

Aspire ET-S BDC Glassomizer $8.99 - VividSmoke.com

ETA: I've read that mint flavors can be tank crackers, and I got these for flavors like that. I think MostlySunny had that issue recently with Peppermint Blast, or some other mint flavor. Citrus and cinnamon flavors can do that too.

Thanks. I just felt clumsy trying to wrap around a screwdriver that I'm trying to balance on the Veritas. Pre-wrapping made it just a tad easier.

Just wasted two hours and several feet (maybe yards) of Kanthal trying twisted coils, Vertical coils, Parallel coils...
Went back to what I know- 8 / 9 wraps of 29g on 3/32 drill bit. Twin 1.2 ohms (0.6 total) with Rayon wicking that tugs back as I try to slide it in.
Starting into some Summer Solstice Heavenly Tobacco. Same Nutty- sweet taste, only more of it. And with the Air Ring half open, getting clouds....

I can't see.. I can't see!!

Threw on a dual 28g, .6ohm build on the IGo W6. Not the best for juice retention, but MASSIVE air intake.

Set the 100W to 30W and 3 hits later, I could barely see anything in my Den!!

No heat whatsoever! It was like taking long cool deep breaths..until I blew it out!! Boom! CLOUDS!!

That's the W6:
