Just a short one on the P3 retail. I saw on at the B/M today. It was $270 and to be honest it looked like a mech. I think Todd has it right. For the fans it'll be great and may get a few more followers. But I tend to think for the price point the SVD 2.0 could give it a run for it's money. Time will tell.
I got the Mutation set up at .5 with 6 wraps. Taking longer to heat so I may drop it back to .3. Or just try a completely different build. That's the way it works. Different topper means finding the right build.![]()
what kind of thoughts go through a persons head when they trash/loose 100+$ atties and mods..... much less loosing a combo pack of mod atty over 200$....
I don't know what the new SVD and the new Provari are like obviously. But I do have the current SVD and the current Provari and IMO they are in two different leagues in terms of quality. Not only in reality but in feel as well. The Provari is just a better mod. But then it ought to be when it costs 4 or 5 times more. I think ProVapes competition is going to be the numerous DNA mods out there. I agree with Todd, $270 is too expensive. It's not clear to me if that is the retail store price or the online ProVape price. $270 is too high IMO. I'd really like to experience that boost option. To me that is big (if it works and all accounts I've seen says it does). But again...$270. Kind of turns me off. If that's the case I might be more inclined to get a Vaporshark or similar. Gotta see how it shakes out. And that polished look doesn't do the P3 any favors. Looks like a cheap Lavatube. I have to believe they'll have other finishes. I like the one they have now.
And I gotta say, that dwell time really bugs the hell out of me. Lowering the resistance and/or jacking up the power doesn't add to the experience. I must really be a snob because I just don't like the heat up time. That's what intrigues me about that P3 boost option. I'm using a 28 ga coil on one of my KFLs and I can mess with the resistance and power settings all I want but in the end I prefer 30 gauge because it's just more responsive without having to jack up the heat. I'm just not a warm vape person. More heat always translates to less flavor to me. Just how my physiology works.
I wonder how much cheaper the P3 will be once it's gone to online sales , Provape has to realise they have stiff competition from DNA devices coming out .Just a short one on the P3 retail. If you mean the AFC screw, yes I did take that out. I get about the same amount of air flow as I did before I started drilling - maybe just a tiny bit more since the intake hole is not completely blocked. One more thing I thought of. You did take the screw out didn't you?
The SVD 2 has finally reached the States .

been reading the threads and it seems everyone is going subohm duals and chasin clouds.... well almost everyone.... there is one exception![]()

And I'm so gentle with my gear. Er, wait a minute . . .
- Dibi Sumpin' broken (glued back together)
- EA lost on boat (recovered)
- Vamo overboard
- Erlkönigin plastic tank smashed
- R91 plastic tank broken
- Cyclone threads munged (repaired)
I guess that's not such a great track record.![]()

That's why we have bottom feeders
I run a range from 0.25 to 1.8Ω these days. Not cloud chasing, but finding what works best for me in my setups - mechanicals and regulateds. I do like my varieties. This seems to extend to flavors as well. And whiskey. Canadian, Irish, Scots, American. All good![]()

Agree...the DNAs will take from ProVape more than anything else.
