Hell , between the kayfun buttplug and a FT topcap you can refill any KF from the top or rebuild without draining for a lot less money .

Even if you have to drain...NO BIG DEAL!!!!

In all the time I've had these Kayfuns I think I've drained them 3 or 4 times. And it was a cinch. Just sucked it out with a syringe. Took 20 seconds. Only once was unintentional (I topped off the tank with a different juice). The other times I was intentionally trying to get dry hits. I was experimenting with using less and less cotton until it burned. So those don't count. So I'm gonna pay $180 so I don't have to drain my tank once every year and a half? It's a scam!

That depends on which clearo you are talking about...

The CE4 ( aka Stardusts ) were good in their day... but Vision upped the ante a bit with the Vivi Nova... those got upped by the Evod and Protanks which got upped by the Naut's... I can build a better tasting Mini Protank coil than the factory ones that while they don't quite reach Kayfun flavor status... do pretty good. Now we've got the Aspire Atlantis and soon to be Kanger Sub Tank... these latter two are rivaling the Kayfun for flavor and the Atlantis certainly make more vapor.

I'll also admit that my new Infiniti KFL+ v2 has my Mini Protanks sitting on the shelves... but being able to quickly change out a coil head while the tank is still full... has a lot of merit and you can't do that with a Kayfun ( until v4 came out ).

The point of all of this... yeah buttin'... is that it will depend on the vaper's needs as to which will fit them best for a situation. I'll likely not be able to afford the Kayfun v4... but if an affordable clone happens before the next big thing, I'll likely pick one up. I'll also carry a Mini Protank along with some spare heads... because they do have a purpose and aren't as bad as some would imply.

Don't wait for a K4 clone. Your KFLs perform the same.

I'll get a K4 if I lose my KFLs or if they get stolen. The Kayfun remains an outstanding tank atomizer.

BTW... this hypocrite... just drilled out the air hole on his old EhPro Kayfun Lite and is soaking it clean now ...

Did you do it to 5/64? Did The deck on mine a while back. I then took a 1/16? and ran through the center post and the cross holes. This didn't increase the hole size it just opened the holes to the right size. The threaded end of the post is pinched because of the threading. It made a big difference on mine.

For me if it's time to put in a new wick then it's time for the tank to be rinsed and the coil to get dry burned.

No, but I probably should have, I went to 1/16th on the hole in the base only. When drilling out an air hole, since it's a "one way" trip... I take it in stages since I also don't want it too airy.

Just took two minutes to set up my Reo Mini/RM2. It's pretty darn good when I was doing this pulled out one of my aw IMR bats and the red casing wa peeling off the top assume I should pitch it?

THROW THAT BATTERY AWAY ! Sounds like the battery 'Vented', and should not be charger or used again.

As far as the Reos/ RM2 - I am convinced it is the simplicity and ease of use that keeps me in REOVille.

I see, they drill a hole in the upright (vertical), not the deck (horizontal). I would like to see the tool he used to get that drill to fit in the well (unless that hole was angled but it doesn't look like it).

possible they drilled the hole thru the side and rewelded/filled and remachined the filled surface... seems like alot of extra work tho..

I don't know if this applies to Chowderhead, but there are a few people into Vaping that are buying electronic- controlled drill presses. Used for precision work on RDA's to convert them into RBA's. I first heard of this from a Vaper in Australia, who claimed he could turn an $8 atty into whatever he wanted instead of spending $50.

Which made me think "So how much did the fancy drill press cost ?"

Which is exactly why I don't think it was done that way. Too much work for a $25 atty.

I'm sure they are using CNC's...which are pricey. And there are lots of fancy tools these days as well. But to drill at a 90 degree angle from inside the well is a trick I would like to see.

You know as well as I do (maybe better) that you can 'peen' a metal surface with a hardened point chisel, start with a super small pilot bit at low speed and lubricant, and work angles with just about any contour surface. That's my theory, at least.
