I will soak the wicks from now on. But why is my coiling process convoluted ? Stabilize the coil / drill bit until leads are secured, then lift in to place ? Or angling the coil away from the +/- posts ?

I don't do the whole drill-bit off to the side, secure leads, then insert toothpick and twist coil to position.

I wrap on the drill-bit, lay it across the air-hole at an angle where the coil leads are almost in line with the screws, and then secure them right there. Once secured, all I have to do is raise the drill-bit up a couple mm, and I'm done!

No, I don't watch Videos. I just ask a whole lot of questions of people who know more than I do about stuff....
Although I did watch about five or six reviews of rda's before selecting the Veritas. BO-O-R-RING !
So after I get it all together, including the chimney, just drip into chimney until I see juice come out the channels. Got it.

Only took almost five hours, but now I have a LP VV Grand w/ HT, a P2 w/ DF and a P3 w/ PK. too many letters. Can I buy a Vowel ?

Nooooo! Just get the wicks wet. It wont pour out of your channels...not necessary. Just get the wick wet. No more required. I find it easier to cut, wet, paste the wicks first before putting the chimney on. It ensures your tail length is correct.

Lets see. I don't twist the wick before putting it in the coil. After it's in I fold up the wick and put the first section on then cut the wick even with the top. Stuff the wick in the wells and press against the block. Then put 3 drops in each well and finish putting it together and filling. Then let it set for a few minutes or so and it's good to go. Works for me.:toast:

Me too. Sometimes I lift the coil up a smidge by tugging the wicks up (like a handle of sorts). Then tighten up the screws some more.

Is it worth mentioning that Papaw's coil looked a bit high over the airflow? Do you all think it might vape better with it down a bit lower? It's hard to tell from pics because angles might make it just seem high.

I already "suggested" that it was "convoluted".. :D

It's a preference thing. Closer = more flavor, further = more vapor. At least to me anyway.
