Yeah... for the firing. Let me see if I can find a screenshot of the app that lets you set it up...

Not sure if this will help or not..

The chart shows the power output... but not the setting screen itself.

It's clear as mud. I will need to study that thing some more. I knew Busardo mentioned the sub tank was coming. Did not know it was this involved. I'll need a full night's sleep. :)

Ok... the Subtank was one thing... it's just another tank that can use either their new bigger heads ( sub ohm and other ) or has a build deck on it. It is an interesting tank and Kangers answer to the Aspire Atlantis but more flexible

...the Smok XPro BT50 another, it's a 50w Mod that also can be connected to your smartphone. The one feature that interests me is the customizable firing mode ( in either voltage or wattage mode ). Using the custom mode you can have it fire at one setting for X amount of time, then another setting, then another etc up to 13 seconds which is as long as it will fire for.

It's a box mod version of the Smart BEC they make... but with updated firmware and stuff. PBusardo reviewed the Smart BEC and found a big issue with it... Smok supposedly address that issue. It's built in temp sensor ( for the board/mod ) wouldn't stop the unit from firing when it got too hot.

Here is the pic of the mod again.

I'll also add... this is only slightly bigger than the VS DNA and rDNA ... perhaps a 1/2" taller or so

OK, that's better. I had a few super-sized Sam Adam's with dinner tonight so I'm a bit slow on the trigger. :)

LOL!! That tiered power feature looks really interesting. Any reviews on the thing yet?

I've seen several... most were UK or European based. It took off over there pretty well it seems but it's just now starting to hit the states. I should say this is still typical Smok quality... ie rattly button and stuff... I suspect the voltage outputs are close but not exact if past history is something to go off of.

I got it because it was a just little bit bigger then my Vaporshark which I find a little small and fiddly in my hands. The VS is almost the same size as the iStick for a comparison. The other advantage... the VS DNA 30 has a fixed 1300mah battery... the Smok uses a replaceable 18650. I've already run down the VS once and luckily I was where I could plug it in...

Today, after a good day at work ( read as I made money :) )... I ordered the Smok XPro BT50... Then the shinyitis bug hit me.... ordered a Sharkskin and wireless charger card add-on for the VS... Then I found a deal on the Kanger Subtank... AND if that wasn't enough... I bought 74ml of MVJ Our RY4 extract ( which will make 320ml of juice give or take )

My 3 week update on my adventures in DNA40... It's still going off without a hitch. I had one minor issue with wicking my Achilles. Found a nice gentleman on the FB page that has 3 of them and was a beta tester. He gave me his number and walked me through it. My wicks were too long, so now I know. The coils, resistance and getting good connections part I feel like I've got that down. Very happy with it.

April, glad that your transition to the DNA40 has gone without a hitch and that you're enjoying the process. :)

was over in the Big Thread and noticed that there are several people fussin about the magma leaking.... then I considered that they are building it ( coils/wicks) in a manner that promotes leaking.... once I place my coils/wicks, I put a dab of wick between the coils/posts to keep the juice from running across the deck and directly into the airholes.... maybe thats why mine doesnt leak....

flavor and airflow isnt compromized ( that I can tell )...

Awesome! Don't forget to test at 30% too.

Your multimeter can be trusted right?!

Oh yeah..it's almost new. Not an el cheapo. It's Fluke so pretty good.

ETA

I had already ran those cells down to 25%..(the point in which I change my cells out) Dusty and checked the voltage before putting those on charge. They are at 3.5v for left cell..and 3.4v right cell..My charger is pretty good too because it read both cells at 3.5v..That -.1v ain't a bad read imo.

My Magma's don't leak as long as I keep them upright, never knock them over and don't vape with them while reclining. :)

Slowing it down a bit before I spaz my keyboards out..have been on some busy threads..Hollywood..what build you got in your Magma? I'm liking the sleeper coils since Dusty posted his. Don't have to really be neat .. as long as the kanthal doesn't touch and no hot legs. PB is tasting mighty fine in my sleeper build .3ohm dual.26ga. Vaping on 30 watts

Both of them have 30ga dual coils @ .7 - .8 ohms. For me (and Retic too) that's been the sweet spot. They are both running on a mech. It'd be fun to put them on the ZNA lite and try them at higher power. But the way they tighten, the airflow hole is right over the switch, and I don't want leaks on the switch.

Yeah, pretty fast and furious over on the Big Thread, eh?
