Never looked at focalcig before. They got some pretty good prices on there.

I've been going back and forth between FC and FT for the longest time. Usually find whatever I need on FT.. so, never bought from FC. See?!!

Sirius, The batteries that I put in on the 18th are finally down to between 53 and 55%. Used all evening 18th, yesterday morning and last evening/night and all day today.

I'm going to run them down to probably 40% based on your findings before charging. So, probably before bedtime tonight.

Like I said..I usually do not bother until the cells are at 25%..Are your marked to left and right? Cells stress more on the right side.

Yeah, marked A and B. I switch them with every charge. Both sets.

Ok... Of the 4 vapemail I was expecting for today, only two actually made it.

Got my smok XPro BT50 and another RY4 to try out ( $7 for 30ml was too good to pass on when several users recommended it ). The juice, I'll try in about a week in a dripper... I'm enjoying MVJ's Our RY4 way too much to change right now.

The BT50.... the verdict is still out on. The width and depth is about what I envisioned... but it's a 1/4" taller than I expected. None of those are anything to complain about... I'm just mentioning it.... For a size comparison for those that have one... it's just a little shorter than an MVP but about the same in the other directions.

The screws for the battery cover... they are hex screws instead of phillips or slotted and they are much longer than they need to be. With the popularity that magnetic closures have... I see no reason for any type of screw especially a hex headed one. With the USB charge option, that will likely not be an issue with many but I would have liked to have been able to switch out batteries quicker or just charge them in my other charger without having to remove the screws.

The buttons... I knew they were rattly... I just didn't know they were RATTLY... :D. This isn't a flaw, they were engineered to be the way they are... just another bad choice IMO.

The 510 connector is recessed slightly in a 23mm diameter depression... not even a MM. This won't be an issue with 22m atomizers but could cause connection issues with larger ones. The Hanna style mods have a similar setup... Again, I think this wasn't a very forward thinking design that just brings limitations that could have been avoided. The 510 connection is self adjusting... so that is certainly a plus.

The weight of the device with a battery isn't bad... so not an issue there. It comes in at 176g with an Efest 18650 2500mah Purple battery. My A-Mod ZNA clone with a 18490 1600mah AW battery weighs in at 189g and my Vaporshark DNA 30 with a built in 1300mah battery is 123g.

The BT50, as I've mentioned earlier... is bluetooth capable. This gives the user access to their puff meter info, as well as a vape log. It is also how you can setup a custom firing configuration that allow you to preheat the coil at a higher output and then drop back to a lower one. You have up to 5 settings for the custom config that last a maximum of 12s combined. For my own needs... the custom firing config is all that I could see using of the BT features... You are also unable to use any of these features without an iPhone or Android smartphone. Oh... just found out that if you back out of the Android smartphone app ( Smart BEC ), it closes the app and your mod will turn off the BT a little later... you must keep the app running for this to not happen. So another knock against it and how they've set it up to work.

Would I recommend it to others... maybe would be the most I could say but at this point I'm leaning towards no more. You can get a 50w CDNA style mod for less and I'm uncertain if the BT features could make up for that even with the custom configuration it has. It isn't a bad mod... it just doesn't stand out from others I've seen.

I'm sure the bluetooth capability would interest some people, especially gadget freaks. But it is not possible for me to express how little interest I would have in that. A vape log? Really?? Who needs or wants a vape log?

The hobbyist. :)

I learned long ago there are people who love the hobby aspects and then there are people who just want to vape. I'm one or the other depending on when you ask.

Agreed... The only good part for my own use... is the customization firing but I doubt I'd ever have a use for more than two stages... one to preheat the coil and then the rest for my standard power level after that.

The little brother to this is the M50 model... and save's you about $10 under the price that BT50 runs... I'm still not sure I'd recommend it either considering some of the other things I didn't like.... not that they are bad, just not how I'd design one given the chance.

Hey y'all, just received the Aqua v2, supposedly an OEM version from Fasttech. Came in a tin just like the authentic. Really a very nice RTA. I'm thinking this actually IS authentic, for all intents and purposes. The machining is flawless, its gorgeous. Gave it a bath, then did a single coil build, 28 gauge came to 1.3 ohms good for the Provari, wicked with KGD, a split- tail reach-around with one air hole plugged. KGD is great for that BTW, splits easy. Perfect wicking first time! All those YouTube vids paid off. This thing should be dead easy to build dual coils on, what with those staggered posts. Oh, and you can pull your deck without draining the tank if needed. Really sweet.

Perhaps a link to the specific one you ordered would be helpful...

There are 5 Aqua v2's in total listed on FT's site... one is listed with the term OTM but none mention OEM in the descriptions anywhere ( discussions ask if that is what the OTM really means ).... and 3 of the 5 come in tins.

I ordered mine the day it showed up and it was called the "Authentic".. This is the sku number that it now shows in my cart. https://www.fasttech.com/products/1980900

They've changed the name, but this is the real deal, less the certificate.

I've been running mine with dual 28g .7ohm build and it's been working beautifully!

Yep Dusty, that's the one that I show in my order history too. Its description has changed a few times. I ordered the soon after you did when it was called OEM. What does OTM mean??

I dont' think it actually means anything... I think, based on the discussions I read, that FT had some complaints about the initial listing and just changed the one letter going from OEM to OTM.... since it was speculation and I never read an "official" response ( didn't read but a page or two of them ), I asked you instead of just speculating myself.

Obviously from the previous post... you can see I got the Kanger Subtank in today...

This thing... cough cough... hits hard... :D

Currently I've setup using the 0.5 ohm coil and I'm vaping it at 30w for 1s switching down to 25w for the remaining vape up to 12s

Considering that in my Kayfun Lite Plus v2 and Aerotank v2... I usually only vape at 10.5w or so on the juice I'm vaping ( MVJ Our RY4 ).... this is quite the step up for me and will take a bit of getting used to. I also tried it at just 30w straight up for a bit and found it too warm/hot for my taste right now. I didn't feel the need to do the 30w 1s preheat... just was playing and it is working for me for now.
