There is nothing sinister about a voltage drop...especially if you know what it is. You must be bored. :D
Nope nothing sinister , but it's something to do on a rainy day , I've been curious about the advantages of a mech using direct battery contact over a standard 510 connection and I got my answer , to me 8 hundredth's of a volt isn't worth the increased chance of hard shorting a battery . But it also tells me hcigar did a helluva job with this Stingray X clone , the results between the authentic copper Stingray that Calve gave me and the clone are identical .

kewllll.... proof that a good clone is just as good as the authentic :)
Actually the Shenxi Stingray X clone exceeds the authentic when it comes to voltage drop , 99.9% pure copper and twice the price of my hcigar but a drop of .04 -.05 with the topcap in use , probably undetectable in hybrid mode but it's still splitting hairs for practical purposes . I'm happy with both of my stingrays , I might consider a 26650 version at some point .

    387 multiplied by what? = ?

387 Woodvil. No Price yet, last run was $160 - $175 range. With the newer upgrades price might push closer to $200.

Tammy just put her Woodvil Mini up in the Classies. Considering all of the extras, and the fact that she sent it to the 'Spa' for a good once-over, looks like a fair price.

Wish I could afford it Papaw. I'd snag it right up. I'd love to have a Woodvil - just for the sake of having one. But I'm a happy camper with my Copper Vein LP Reo Grand. After 8 months, I just added a new coat of clear coat to protect the paint. Chewbacca still looks like the day I got him. (blog)

I would say "good luck" at giving the Reo's a new home, but you don't need it. Anything Robert O'Neil makes has instant re-sale value. :) They'll be gone within 24hours of listing.

Well clone fever has struck. After all of the upcoming political moves, I decided I'd better get on getting hardware, while I still can. The lack of juice variety was getting to me anyway. I now have a Lemo Drop, Derringer, Stingray X mod, Vulcan, and SMPL mod. Ah, it is so very nice to have different flavors at my fingertips once again. I also got drip tips, and Smok 7a fuses. Neither mod has room for those little fuses, which is a shame. I decided against a kick. Just wanted the fuse. I have tried the Derringer in dual coil, and single coil. I got it on Ebay. It came with the different colored caps. The machining was lacking, let me just say that. But with some sandpaper, I managed to get the pieces in workable order. The sharp points were incredible, until I worked on them. The cap comes off pretty good too. The threads were sharp too. In the future I will probably get a better clone of it, than the one I have. The Vulcan clone is spectacular. The Lemo Drop was the only authentic. I really like it too. For some reason though, I am really digging the rda's. (maybe the mods helped that opinion?) The SMPL needed some work on the switch, but once I did that, it is very smooth, and it has the spring, not the magnet. I am overall very pleased. Texas has had two bills come up, that have perturbed the fire out of me. They have several, but I am not sure if the others will make it very far. I will say they are Draconian to say the least.

I don't see how they could limit access to equipment. Reos, ProVape, SmoeVesto, Vicious Ant and others are not selling their equipment with nicotine installed- it's up to the buyer what that piece of equipment is to be used for. If the Masochist Left comes after Vaping, it will be through liquid nicotine. Liquid Nicotine is the most obvious target; after the general Public has been programmed to hate anything related to smoking liquid nic will be associated with tobacco no matter how erroneous that assumption may be. If you are really worried about 'Vapeaggedon' then you should start into DIY. PM Robin or EddardinWinter, they can get you more involved.
Me personally, I still look towards the day when I quit vaping and breathe normally again. If the Career Politicians act too forcefully, it will just be added motivation to continue dropping my nicotine levels and vaping habits until am done with it. Then I can sell off my ProVaris and most of my Reos (Keeping the Woods) and maybe treat myself and Mamaw to a nice Vacation.

I am more concerned about them doubling the tax, or banning mech mods. On two of the bills they wanted 6 dollars per shipping order too, and you have to get a certification deal, with your signature. That is just a start. The combination of the tax, regs, and lack of flavor choices, pushed me into this. I have also been trying to get a larger stock of e juice too. I don't know that I will be quitting vaping at this point. At least I don't see it in my near future. I started out with 12mg nic. I am doing some 6mg nic though, for certain juices. I would DIY, but I don't have a good place to do that. I am really ticked at some of these laws they want. No, they haven't passed. But if you wait until they pass, it will be too late to act. I probably will stop at 6mg nic, if I can do that over time.

Oh, and I wanted to beat the rush on this too. I know people are starting to stock up more on juice and stuff. Some of this is going to get hard to come by I'm afraid. Also some of these small business folks just may end up closing shop. That in itself will cut competition, and potentially drive up prices.

If it's just the state of texas doing this it'll be easy to get around , any one of us can be a mule for you , be careful with that SMPL or if you decide to use the Stingray X in hybrid mode .

I was going to put the fuse in the Stingray X before going the hybrid mode route. Now that my fuse won't fit, unless you loosen one of the threads to the point, the mod looks weird...I am annoyed. I guess I won't use it in hybrid mode. (at least not now) Maybe I will get another tube for it, with a kick, so I can maybe have room for the fuse? I don't know if both will fit. I decided against a kick. The SMPL does not have a pin, as you know. It hits hard, and I am thrilled with it. I was going to put a fuse in it too, but there is no way in this world it will fit. Even my batteries barely fit. I have tried the Sony VTC4, and the Samsung 25 R. The only way the Efest would fit is if you force it. I am not going to force it, and rub off the protective cover. I had to sand the inside of the mod, just to get my battery to slide in easy. I forgot to mention that before. Now it is wonderful. The Stingray X is gorgeous but it doesn't hit as hard. (if I went hybrid I am sure it would) The SMPL has that ridge inside of it, and I wouldn't have bought one, if not for that. The price was good, and it works great. When I first tried it without working on the switch, I wasn't happy. But now it works like a dream.

Yes, Retic, if it was just my state, it wouldn't be an issue. But there are so many states with upcoming regs, it is mind boggling. I don't see that in the news, and I think they are doing that on purpose. If not for this vaping forum, I wouldn't have known. Even when I joined here, I wasn't aware of it until recently. I didn't go to some of the threads to see it right away. When I found out, I was TICKED beyond belief. Usually Texas is more into freedom in a lot of things. But the PC micro managers are intent on ruining us. I am definitely going to let them know what is on my mind about this. Two bills already, with several more I hear. I have already written emails on this. They better wake up and smell the coffee. Vapers vote, and they better be aware of it. Anyone that votes for these idiotic bills will NEVER get a vote from me. You can bank on that.

Just make sure the centerpin protrudes well past the threading of your atty's 510 connection and don't use any atty with a spring loaded pin on any mech with a hybrid connection like the kanger subtank or the Atlantis . Also you screw the hybrid adapter all the way onto your atty first before you screw it into the Stingray X , best to install the battery after that and then take up the slack with your switch . Texas should stop advertising in california to get people to move there or the whole state will regret their influence in the years to come .

Retic, you thank you. I have not been interested in the sub tanks at this point. I did know about the pin should stick below the hybrid adapter. But still, I would have preferred the fuse with that. For right now, I am just going to not use the hybrid adapter. The Vulcan clone works great on the Stingray X. It has a copper pin, and it goes down to a good height. I have the Derringer on the SMPL. It has even more metal protruding from the center, which I am happy about.

As far as what you said about Texas, you are spot on. I don't mind new people coming...just don't try to put us in the predicament some of these states are in, because of their regs. Really our population has greatly increased. I'd be good if we didn't get so many new ones. My area has grown so much the past few years, it is pitiful. It has increased so much, I wish I could move. I would rather live out in the country, than this mess we have now. The bigger you grow, the more they want to micro manage your lives, which I hate. Plus more crime has come to my area now too, and gangs. It gets on my nerves, let me tell you. Come, abide by our laws, and our mindset, assimilate. If they don't want to do that, they should not move here, in my way of thinking. Sure we can't stop 'em, but we don't need to encourage them either. Some great people have moved here since the late 70's on. But the big gov nanny folk need to stay where the heck they are. (or find another one to move to, with that mindset)

You can use the Aqua V2 on the Stingray X in hybrid mode without using the adapter , you can go on youtube to see how to it's done but it's pretty simple , you unscrew the 510 pin , catch basin and the large white plastic insulater and screw on the battery contact and screw the whole atty into the Stingray X , no topcap or hybrid adapter needed , it hits very hard that way .
