I agree , I prefer my mechs , they just feel better in my hand . I run the Aqua and the Rose's on mine 98% of the time but my 30mm Magma is permanently attached to my 26650 Panzer . Not the best for out and about but it would definitely come in handy for croud control at the watering hole .
Plunger Mod. Push the Plunger instead of putting your thumb through a hole to squonk. Variable Volt Woodvil. Bubinga, a durable African wood used in fine art, musical instruments and small collectables.

On / Off switch beneath onboard juice bottle. Not the original Fire button, Karen said Rob offered recall when original switch started having problems. Could explain the proximity of soldered tabs to feed tube.

I already have a plunger door Woodvil, so I've used 'em before. It makes squonking slightly easier, but take maybe a half second longer. I just really like the way it looks. Seems like it gives an 'antique' appeal to the wooden mod.
Gross. That's not counting for parts and labor. He has a mill/lathe setup that is programmable to make the cuts, but the sanding, finishing and assembly is still done by hand. Seems like it takes three or four months after he announces a wood run to finished product.
But, yea, that's still gonna be a nice payday.
I realize that's gross. And I'm sure he has significant costs...especially labor. He'll make a handsome profit but I do not see where he is making out like a bandit. $225 seems like a fair price to me.
That is about $60 higher than the last Woodvil run, about a year ago. I think the new 510 Connector, and it's subsequent recall, put a serious kink in his timetable. Not to mention free replacements of the new 510's in all of the Grands he sold for about a month. But the SS Adjustable 510, the newer contacts and the redesigned fire button also make some difference, I supposed. These are supposed to be the first sub-ohm Woods (like I care) and that will also bring in a few sales.
But at $225 I think some of the collectors might slow down a little. I know I'll probably just get one instead of three this time.
Recalls are very expensive. It's something he probably did not calculate in his costs the last time. So he probably wants to make sure he's covered and wants to make up for what likely turned out to be thin margins. I'm sure even he has a breaking point where it is not worth it to stay in the REO business so he stays above that point. And $225 is it.
