My favorite place to eat is right here. Sometimes I ask Mamaw if she wants to go out, and she just says, "Nah. Why, are you hungry again ?"
Then 15 minutes later she's in the kitchen starting on something.

No need to trade this one in....
Mamaw sounds like my grandma when I was coming up. Always trying to stuff awesome food in our faces. On the very rare occasion she ate a restaurant you could see she acted like a fish out of water.

the wifey loves to cook too.... only problem is when she does she makes wayyyy too much of it ... then I deal with left overs for 3 weeks... she made 2 gallons of spagetti yesterday... maybe I can bring some to Retic ;)
Better freeze it, I made spaghetti 4 days ago on the wife's request . Too much garlic for her so I've eaten spaghetti 4 days in a row . :(

    (I'm Happy !)

I haven't been able to get reosmods.com web site to load for over a year. Doesn't matter which browser I use. hmmm, haven't tried my iPhone... Nope, that didn't work either. Guess they don't want overseas orders, or even viewers.

the wifey loves to cook too.... only problem is when she does she makes wayyyy too much of it ... then I deal with left overs for 3 weeks... she made 2 gallons of spagetti yesterday... maybe I can bring some to Retic ;)

I have the same problem - Mama Chak loves to cook, but she can't do just one plate. Like I can't make a small pot of soup, chili, or spaghetti sauce.

    In full confidence of today's Modern Postal Service;
I predict Bronze will get his Achilles rda before I get mine, even though I ordered mine three weeks earlier. Let me know how you like it, Bronze.

...and he hasn't even ordered yet. This I'd like to see. :D

We didn't eat out much as a child..My Dad even at family reunions would have my Mom point to what she or my Grandmas dish that they brought and only eat from those..He was in WW2 and said if he ever made it out of the Bulge he would never go that hungry or cold ever again,..and eat only what he wanted to eat and no stale Army Rations..and believe me,..he ate stale German ones as well..Just whatever they could find they ate outside of the dead cows and horses..He did say those started looking good after awhile though.

Sirius, I remember a story similar to that. My grandfather was in WW1. He was in France. I didn't know they weren't feeding our troops properly. He was so hungry he picked up old food out of the mud, and ate it. That really bothered me, when my dad told me that. I still never have forgotten that story, after all these years.

My grandfather fought in WW1 too...France. Got his leg blown off from a nearby shell while on a motorcycle.

In Valley Forge, our revolutionaries ate their leather boots. It was the closest thing to edible they had.

It was Hitlers last big push against us Americans and one of the biggest gatherings of Panzer Regiments on the Western Front..My dads company was there as a resting area for combat troops...They were encircled at a place called Bastogne in Belgium..No air drops because the weather had set in..He said they had to make every round count for their rifles..meaning a kill shot for every trigger pull..Oh well,..they beat the Germans back but not before many hundreds on both sides were killed and wounded.

I recently watched a few programs on the Military Channel...the greatest tank battles. Those Panzers were vicious. Our tanks weren't nearly as protected or near the same firepower, but we were a lot faster. Kind of made it a fairer fight.

Hitler was the best damn General we ever had during WW2..He wasted his air power on England and over Stalingrad loosing any chance of air superiority over Germany.. and put all his reserves into bigger and bigger tanks...No match for the P-51's and P-38 tank killers..As soon as the weather cleared those SS Panzer Regts were decimated by them.
You are right though about the Panzer..all my Dad talked about were those and that they had the same gun as the German 88.
