Howdy all!
OK, so I've built a few successful TC coils now. That Atlantis 2, while ugly in my eyes - a ginormous tank for only 3ml capacity - really is a tasty
vaping experience. It provides so much versatility in air flow, which is a kind of temperature control in its own way
I pulled apart one of the Atlantis coils and wrapped my own nickel coil to put in there. Man, these things sure are easy to rebuild compared to the old T3s that I used to rebuild. My coil worked perfectly and gave me confidence to give it another try in the ErlK.
So I did another coil for the ErlK at 0.116Ω and it's been going strong so far. Just about to the bottom of my third tank of DF in here. I think I'll pop her open this time to have a look at the coil & wick. DF isn't very gunky, and it's pretty hard to vape the ErlK dry, so this still isn't a very good test of TC. I've been too lazy/busy to get another (or sacrifice one of my existing) RDAs to give TC a good test.
In fact, I've been running another ErlK with Kanthal A1 a twisted, spaced 1.8Ω coil on my Vapor Shark and, with side-by-side comparisons I can't taste any difference or really see any advantage to the TC with this setup. Maybe it would be useful if I can't see the
juice level with a steel tank on the ErlK.
Obviously, I'm still a newbie with TC, but heck, even if TC isn't for me, this SXmini M is a really nice mod in VW or bypass mode!
