Do the ones you purchased from e-cig have the gray insulator vs. black?

The coils in the kit have a black insulator and the separately purchased coils have gray.

interesting, mine came with black insulators, my pack of .5 coils are black. So what's what? The coils i picked up are working fine so?

The ones with gray are the newest version. You won't notice any difference in them until you get above 80 watts and take long draws. Above 80 the old coils have a burnt wire taste.

also interesting, i usually am at 50-60 watts, mostly because of batteries but also personal choice. but so far no burnt taste, no wet cardboard taste either. ill crank her up to 65 watss in a bit and see how she goes
