im not too impressed with "Cowboy". it tastes nothing like marlboro (if thats what they were going for).

Any suggestions? i just want it to taste like a normal cig, not all this fancy english toffee or other random flavors...

I like most all cigarettes for their uniqueness, so, you all tell us, which is the most true to life? is there the possibility that some of the juice stays on the battery end, causing the flavors to mix??

thanks, all :2c:

Kilroy, I'm not doubting what you are saying or where you are coming from, but for those of us still trying to quit, and still reaching for analogs... something close to a "real" cigarette in taste is exactly what we are looking for when we feel the overwhelming need for tobacco.

FWIW Philos, I haven't found a good tobacco flavor yet either. If you come across one, please let me know.

The closest flavor i have found to tobacco, is perique black from vaporbomb...its very strong, earthy no frills tobacco taste. Theres not sweetness to it or nutty type flavor found in a lot of the tobaccos. But it is an aquired taste.

When I quit smoking, I couldnt find anything that tasted like tobacco, so i started with the tobacco/menthol flavors. I never smoked menthol as a regular smoker, but the menthol liquid helped me to quit.

American Eliquid Store has very good tobacco juices (regular, sweet, menthol, clove I think and others). Everyone that has tried my ecig when I have had AES' tobacco-menthol in carto. all loved it and were really surprised at the realistic taste.. With my other flavor from elsewhere they just say something like oh neat and you can tell they are just being nice lol.. So I'm going to have to say, based on peoples reactions that AES may be a good choice for you...

Right now I'm trying johnson creek, haven't gotten pass the swiss chocolate sample yet but they have lots of tobacco flavors, strong and mild ones from what I recall seeing on their website and all had 4-5 star reviews I believe.. I can't vouch for them though since I haven't gotten to the tobacco only samples yet but you may want to check out their site and the reviews..

well said, soloist. Im not expecting an exact replica, just not something that tastes like garbage, candy, or fruit.

mutt, i just popped in my Nuport and youre right, menthols are the closest to the real thing!! and i never minded them, so it may just be my new carto.. (try them out, soloist!)

I used menthols when I first started, because they reminded me the most of a regular cigarette just like many do. I have since given away ALL my menthol juice, and now do some of the blended tobacco tastes. RY4, 555, and some others.

MOST american made tobacco flavors will taste more like chew smells. Like a fresh pack of REDMAN or BEECHNUT. With a sweet, but still tobacco taste to it.

I find myself drawn to tobacco flavors, where as I could not STAND it when I first started.

I was pleasantly surprised with Mint Julep, which I didn't think I'd enjoy. My friends and I killed a carto of it just passing it around tonight at the bar. (We were causing quite a scene, and at least 3 people without being solicited have been converted to ecigs, just out of their curiousity and trying it).

I did enjoy the 555 too, kinda of a sweet taste. Kant and Hilton were the closest to a real cig for me, but a bit of an aftertaste that you eventually get used to.

We tried all the different flavors that came in the sampler pack today, the rest were alright but nothing spectacular. I'm not going to mind smoking them, but I think my norm is going to become Nuport...

A lot of lives were potentially changed by this ecig tonight, and I wasnt even trying to push it. People just came up to us because of the blue light haha. They had never seen or tried one, some heard of them. Either way, the word got out.

The general consensus was that this is "the FUTURE" haha.. still no regular cigs nor the urge for one.

I like Drewbacco 1 from Nhaler mixed with almost any tobacco flavor from Vapor Station: Tennesse, Frisco (nutty), or Tampa. I also like their menthols. The nice thing about both vendors is that they let you buy small, inexpensive samples, so even if you don't like them, you're not stuck with 30 ml of juice you hate. I also hear great thing about Backwoods Brew, a new vendor.

Good luck in your search.

I too have found that the various mentol flavors have worked best for me starting out. After about a week of only vaping I'm starting to find I realy like V4L's kamel tho. I'm going to try out some other flavor types when the mail gets here today as I got a sampler from velvetvapors.com with a mixed bag of different things.

Oh, and if you do a lot of vaping around the computer a USB pass through is a worthwhile purchase. At 5v the amount of vapor and TH is just awesome on the V4L cool carts. Very satisfying!

Regardless of what you start out with, if you get one you do not like, save it for later. Your tastes will change quite a bit in the first month. Something you hate now might end up being your favorite, And something that you love now you might end up hating. Also, if you end up with juice that you are not fond of, join the PIF subforum and trade it off to someone. Chances are, if you dont like it, it might be someone else's favorite. The PIF subforum is also a good way to try a bunch of different vendors/flavors without spending a ton of money.

The V4L Dunhall tastes a lot like a European cig -- a strong tobacco taste (some people dislike it, I guess, but it's pretty realistic IMO). I also really like their coconut.

NHaler Marl seems pretty close to actual tobacco taste, too.

their parliament also reminds me of this. they are both my cup of tea, but they are very strong tasting IMO.

i agree, after a couple weeks and get acclimated to vaping, some of the flavors that were nasty at first arent half bad anymore...

my favs are now (in no particular order) nuport, french pipe, 555, and virginias (ya, i said it, dont laugh)

these are my :2c:
