Made a couple custom cup holder mod stands for Matt Bradley of the deadliest catch and one for Zen himself. Matt loves his. I hope Zen likes his too. ;)

Yeah, $37 is very ridiculous. Someone should call HoH and ask them. I would call, but I don't have the time until later.

I thought it was machine pressed in there or something but you can actually pop the new adjustable part out yourself. I would think that they would just send out the part for cost of shipping but who knows.

So after using my new adjustable top cap on my ZNA for a week, I have gone back to the stock cap that i have adjusted and allows everything to sit flush.

I have 2 issues with these new top caps.

1) everytime i adjust it and screw on my rba of choice, When i go to unscrew my RBA 90% of the time, The top cap unscrews along with the atomizer. I have to tightly hold the knurling on the top cap to stop this from happening but most of the time, I still cannot get my atomizer off without the top cap coming with it..

2) if my atomizer leaks at all, It leaks thru the adjustable pin and down into the ZNA. My ithaka for example, Was gurgling a little and when i unscrewed it ( top cap came off along with it ) there was juice down on the connection area, inside.

With the stock top cap, I never had either of these issues, Turn of the screw once, everything sits flush, top cap doesn't unscrew along with the atomizer and it doesn't leak thru the pin..

Anyone else notice these 2 issues? A friend of mine also has the new top cap and cannot stand that the top cap comes off along with the atomizer.

Here are all the pieces to the new top cap. Which all just pops right out.

Top cap, Delrin sleeve, larger screw, smaller screw

In reality, All you need is the pin assembly to replace in the stock top cap, I am still unsure why they just didn't offer the pin assembly to pop into your stock top cap rather then having to purchase a 2nd top cap.

I put in a ticket with ENS yesterday and asked about the "upgrade" for early buyers of the ZNA. They responded very quickly with they're being prepared. No details on price or when we can get them but the implication was that we'd get some sort of discount. I trust ENS. They've always done the right thing (along with Mike) to make things right. I mean we bought the thing the way it is. There's no obligation on ENS or Mike to give us a discount but I trust they will. Like Mike said about the ZNA itself, "be patient". :D

I agree 100% Not only are they trying to get you to buy the whole thing (that you don't even need) but also charging $7 more for it? I'm not a cheapskate or anything I don't care about $7. I just think its kinda shady. There has only been maybe 1500 ZNA's sold (if that). Make a form on HoH webpage that lets you put in your serial number or send a picture of your zna. Then they put the $1 part in a .10 cent envelope with a .30 cent stamp and then mail it to us. It's really not that complicated and I am a little disappointed how they handled it. They should not even be for sale until owners of the old top caps get sent the new pins. The way its set up now your buying a $37 top cap for the $1 adjustable pin. Even if they discount it to $10 or $15 your still overpaying for the $1 part you need. Its not that big of deal, but on the same hand it wouldn't have been that big deal to mail the pin out to 1000 people for free.

Exactly. That's what I believe they're going to do. And that's fine with me.

I agree.

Why even make them available for sale BEFORE taking care of the people who purchased the early version ZNA. It seems like Zen is relying on the fact that a good many people are very anxious to finally be able to flush-mount their KayFuns/R91s, etc. and will pay retail instead of waiting for him to figure out what he is going to do for us. Looks like he's found a great way to actually profit from his mistakes.

I really like my ZNA but, Zen is steadily going from Hero to Zero in my book.

So my inner screw, of the new adjustable screw, is quite ridiculous. I screw it out and then screw my atomizer on. It works for one hit and then I get "check atomizer". This is how it goes every single time. I finally went to my local hardware store and got a flat brass screw, same size. Problem solved. I'm unhappy with the new adjustable bit. Since I bought my ZNA recently, I only have the new adjustable version so no going back for me.

Is it the perspective or is that tank crooked on your ZNA? Looks like there is a gap.

YES! There is a gap! That's the issue with the ZNA, and they want me to pay $37.00 to fix that.I will not pay that. The unit sits at house until I decide to get rid of the piece of &%&%^(^!

Oh wow sorry to hear that man. I can understand your frustration as that is obviously a manufacturing defect. Crooked 510 connections are not ok.
