Lets talk ZNA 30

I have to wonder what the draw to the hana is for you guys that already have the zna. It looks like a solid device but other than the shape color and pass through they seem so similar in performance, battery life, etc to me. I don't know I think if I wanted another vw high end I'd probably gun for the gi2 over another dna. Just wondering what you guys look on it is.

I owned a Hana mini v3. I ordered a ZNA just to see what it was all about and then probably sell it off, I never thought i would keep it.. I ended up selling my Hana mini v3 and keeping the ZNA.

I found i liked the ZNA much more over the Hana v3 for a few reasons..

Much beefier build quality
Easily swap out batteries when needed
I thought over time i would get use to a "box sized mod" but i didn't
Finish isn't as delicate
Now that i am using 30a Sonys in my ZNA, It last much longer then my Hana mini.

No they don't, and they work well on both the ZNA and Hana...
All I have are the VTC4s,and they've work in all APV or mechanical mod I own...
Never ran into a problem with their lack of a button.

Hmmmm I was under the understanding that the delrin insert made it so that all non button tops wouldn't contact the top pin in the tube.....

I love my ZNA, but I like the lighter weight, 18650 standard, and pass thru capabilities of the Hana, both are keepers!

With my ZNA, the contact pin slighltly protrudes past the delrin, the pin is threaded and will allow for some adjustment.

I am using a flat top Sony 30a and have no issues on my ZNA

Yeah I may have to pick up a 650 tube now. Didn't really feel like moving to the 650 tube with the available batteries that were nipple top but I already have quite a few Sony VTC4's that I run in my mechs so I may need to do that, the amp output and mAh rating of the Sony may be worth it. Thanks for the info guys!

So i got my 18650 tube in today and i cant put on the battery cap on all the way, anyone know how to fix this?

That's a defective unit. If you put a battery in backwards it will fry your mod.

Beg to differ, along with Evolv, every build that I have experience with, ZNA, Hana and Mark Bugs, all say/warn to never insert the battery backwards!
DNA 30s all require the capabilities of the Sony VTC4 and equivalent, which are all flat tops...please direct to an example if I am wrong.
Some ZNAs have problematic fitment with 18650 button tops.
Never heard one having that problem with 18650 flat tops.
IMO, Zenesis did it perfectly...they don't claim to have reverse battery protection, which also means the delrin piece isn't necessarily there for that purpose.

I've been using AW 18650/2000 button tops in mine, all the while thinking that I had reverse battery protection as per the video with Phil and Mike .... but .... I just tried an Efest 18650/2250 flat top and to my surprise it fits and works perfectly also. Guess I'm gonna have to be real careful because I didn't buy the extended warranty for fried boards .....

i just tried my brandy new ZNA with a SMOK flat top 18500 and it did not light up at all, so you might have a problem there...

You seem to be in the minority, my pin sticks out farther than the delrin ring and I have yet to hear of anyone else who has tried flat tops have them not work.
