Just joined ECF, find it a little silly that I need to start out in THIS forum, but I suppose it is much better then having to sift through spammers on threads to get to real information.

But, this is boring so lets talk...

Started out with Blu (obvious but forgivable mistake), then realized I could slap a 510 atty onto my batteries and have been doing that for a little awhile now.

Tried Liquid from TW and wasn't horrible impressed, but to be fair I was still getting used to the stronger atty.

At this point I severely want to kick the analogs all together, but it seems that the lack of battery life is preventing that thus far, SO I have ordered a Riva Ego along with an army of juices from strictlyejuice.com, and made sure this time to order NO tobacco flavors.

It is my theory that if I vape for long enough without the tobacco flavors, if I ever got tempted to go back, it would taste god awful.

So that's it. What's your story? How did you start? Do you still smoke analogs? What do you use? Lets talk.

Just ordered a Riva kit today myself and a mega 510 batt for my 501 because I could :) Still venturing out into the land of tasty e liquids. I almost feel like I have to vape tobacco flavors to help convince myself that I still need to vape even though I've been ash free for 5 weeks - and I'm primarily vaping 6 mg liquid - so it's not like I'm getting a ton of nicotine!

I always suspected that it was the action of smoking I was addicted to over the nicotine - and I won't say there haven't been some rough days - but I am totally in love with vaping!

Hahaha, that WAS my initial plan, although I can't honestly say that I'm not interested in other vaporers stories. I knew as soon as I started vaping that I was actually addicted to the act of smoking and the nicotine. Analogs suck! They smell bad, they make my mouth taste bad, and if I go out and smoke a whole pack in a night my lungs feel like garbage!

Welcome to ECF! I started vaping this week. I've tried using the patch to quit and the longest I managed to go without an analog was one week. That was only because I had to go home for my grandfather's funeral, that was back in 2000. My family all live in different states from me so none of them knew I was a smoker and I didn't want to hear all the crap from them about it so I just used the patch to get through that week. I've been smoking analogs for 21 years at the rate of 1 to 1.5 PAD and over the past few months I've been thinking that it's time to quit but quitting cold turkey is not an option for me. A friend of mine had been talking about vaping and how much she's enjoyed it so I started looking into it for me and my husband because he's been wanting to quit analogs too.

We got our first kit this past Tuesday. After some trial and error, I've come to love vaping! We still use analogs right now because we both got defective batteries and we're only using one battery each. Not easy for me to go 2 to 4 hours without a smoke while waiting for my battery to recharge! I'm sure once the company sends us replacement batteries, it'll be easier to fully quit the analogs. I have cut the number of analogs down drastically since starting and they're getting to taste nasty.

Since starting, I've noticed I'm breathing a lot better, I'm not hacking up my lungs as much and I noticed today that my sense of smell is returning. I never thought I'd experience any of those things ever again so this his a HUGE help for me!

Back in April 09' my uncle started selling ecigs after using them for a month for himself. He had overheard about it in a virtual world and figured, give them a try. He talked to me about them, but of course I was a skeptic. After the first month of him vaping, he told me he was down to 2-3 cigs a day. From being a 2-3 PACK smoker a day. No one better then he could sell me on the idea. So, I ordered my first kit from him.

I started vaping on May 30th, 09. I've taken hits of analogs here and there, but not because I felt the NEED to. But, I guess it just reminds me that I don't need them.

Even with my excessive purchases, I'm still spending approx. $200 less then I was on analogs. I don't have to do smoking aerobics in the winter to go outside, and my kids don't wrinkle their nose at their stale cig smoke smelling mom anymore lol
