I was feeling extra brave this morning and decided to add up everything I've spent on this new obsession hobby in 2012.

Since I started vaping on April 28, 2012, through Dec. 31, 2012, I've spent 607.00 on vaping supplies . Divided by 9 months, that works out to $67.44/mo.

In the 6 weeks of 2013, I've spent $80 ($13.33/wk or $53.33/mo.). So at least it's going down! :2cool:

When I think about how much crap I bought in the beginning that ended up in the trash, it makes me kind of sick. But things WILL be better this year (after I get my Vamo and batteries and charger and...oh, my). THEN things will settle down and all I'll need are consumables. Honest!

Anyone else want to compare notes?

:vapor:

First of all your avatar cracks me up...LOL... I think in the beginning your in the I want every thing mode( I'm still in that mode:))
I did a comparison based on the first month of vapeing. It was something like around 350 dollars. This month I really didn't have to buy anything, but so far have spent around 20 dollars. So yes I can see it going down, but that can change with a click of my key board at any minute....LOL

Been vaping about 6 months and spent about $500. Smoked for 20 years and don't anymore thanks to vaping so I can't put a price on how much better I feel now that Im smoke free. I've been on the search for my perfect mod and I think I've found it... its a kicked Roller by ATMIZOO. Vaping at 9 watts is where I'm at with cartos but much higher with genesis stuff so for me a good mechanical mod and kick is perfect. Anyway I think mechs look better imo. All I have is a lambo vv, ego twist, evo (got those first before I found out about the kick and mechanical mods), Legacy from PURESMOKER and my favorite the Roller by ATMIZOO. I wanted a Provari but the only way I'll get one is if they change the top part to look flat so it looks seem less when you stick a genesis on it otherwise I'll stick with mechanical mods.
In the end I'm just glad I don't smoke anymore... still trying to convert my wife. She just has a hard time with the vapor.

Since starting at the end of February of last year, I've spent $2,461 to date. That includes 3 starter kits that I've gifted to other people, 2 other starter kits that I used and then gave away, 2 APVs and 4 eGo Twist batteries I currently use. My current vaping expenses are only on the consumables (clearo heads, cartos, e-liquid), so I'm spending MUCH less these days.

Approximately $632 in 3 months. I never kept track of my first 6 months of purchases. However, I do have about 450 mls of juice so I should be good for a while! I'm pretty happy with my set up now, but I'm toying with the idea a rebuildable.....Im just not brave enough to go hunting around eBay for the required wire and mesh

For all things that I have paid for...so not counting some committed but not invoiced coops...I have spent $4000.82 since February 2012

So that's 76.90 a week, since a pack of Marlboros is 8 dollars in CT and I smoked a carton a week, I am just a hair under smoking which cost 80 a week.

Things to consider

1. I am healthier
2. I spent a lot on prefilled v2 crap when I started
3. I like buying things
4. I give some of them away

I am trying to get a handle on making coils, for novas and genny's, now to cut down on costs but it's not really bothering me. I really just bought a lot of devices, half of which have been gifted or given away.

i used to spend a lot.....i have 10 years of supplies now. including juice i think im down to about 15 bucks a month. thank god for diy or i would be spending hundreds a month. i blow through 10-15 mls a day...that would add up so fast in vendor juices

ah.. another heavy vaper! that is the reason I went DIY too. e-pipes are really expensive for what you get, but the cheap ones can be VERY cheap on quality. I gotta pay for that and I understand. now that I have all my startup, I took what I spent on Tobacco $75/mo and what I spent on pipes $300/year and accessories.. tampers, pipe cleaners, cleaning fluid, etc.. $20/month and what I'm CURRENTLY spending on my DIY $15/month and came up with June 2014 to break even.. then I will be saving $60/month :)
also, I will not be having to get medication for COPD. I had the beginning symptoms and was going to have to hit the doctor by June of THIS year. Not sure what THAT would have cost me.
