Hello Vapers,

Joined the forum after a longtime of lurking. I'm currently using a istick 50 and Atlantis / Kanger Subtank, and it's satisfying enough most of the time, but I still find myself going outside to smoke analogs if for no other reason than habit. My wife is a never smoker and is great about letting me vape inside, which I enjoy especially with the recent extreme cold, but I still find myself willing to freeze to have the occasional analog. I'd like to move to vaping exclusively. What have you done to accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I tried the nautilus and atlantis, not the kanger yet... The nautilus just wouldn't work for me, while the atlantis even having a good taste and vapor production was too open for me even at the smallest air hole.... I tried different drippers too but in the end the set ups that give me the closest "cigarette like draw" are the kayfun v4 and the Lemo drop. The throat hit I believe is also important for a smoker, so you could try a build/set up that is satisfactory to you in this regard.

Thank you, I will look into those. I usually vape direct lung hits on my Atlantis, it took a few days to get it down without coughing.

Ok, will do! I've only smoked analog for 12 years and never went over a pack a day. Full flavor menthols.
Then it should be even easier for you. If I missed a smoke break at work I became psychotic. I had one analog after starting ecigs 5 years ago and I put it out immediately cause it tasted like crap. :)

Personally I had the same problem but that was when there was really only blu and stuff around. Vaped and smoked for about 4 months my first time then went wholly back to smoking. But after all the new higher tech and puffy cloud juices out there i gave vaping a try and soon quit cold turkey overnight. What I did was jist find one or two flavors at least that you truly think tastes amazing. Look everywhere for it. Something thatsvtasty enough if it was presented to you, you wouldnt even think of having a cigarette before it. Thats what i did and I went from smoking 3/4 a pack a day and vaping to exclusively vaping overnight, but i only did it after i found that flavor for me. I was exclusively a smoker for 9 years.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm not having nic fits or anything like that. It just feels weird to not do my usual routine of going outside to have a cig. Wife told me I should take the vape outside and vape like I would a cig, lol

I used to do the same thing. Eventually, I just got tired of going outside knowing that I didn't need to.

What helped me was using a tobacco type flavor Jefferson from colonial clouds it has a peppermint exhale similar so it gave me my menthol I was used to. I have the same set up istick 50 kanger sub tank a nano and a delta 2 all three give me that cig feel subohm with a 50/50 pg vg. Next time you want a analog just vape instead even if its outside.

IMO you need to find your motivation. Smoked cig's for 20 years while also being pretty physically active. 1 day I had to start training for a specific purpose and was introduced to vaping coincidentally @ the same time. I began to notice how much better I felt when vaping as opposed to smoking cig's after about a week+ and that was it for me. I started vaping @ 18mg nic. You may want to try that as well.

i actually quit shortly before i really started vaping (im not counting those gas station ecigs). I started vaping because i knew if i smoked even one cigarette id be caught in "the trap" again. I quit for maybe 3? months without any alternatives. I did it by reading the book "the easy way to quit smoking" It worked for me, the author basically says that your not missing anything by not smoking and there is no way that you actually like smoking, your simply addicted to the feeling after taking a drag. Maybe i was just in the right frame of mind but i read that book in one night and i havent smoked since.

I found it online and read it for free but i cant remember where i found it and i cant post links yet anyway, but it might be worth a shot. The simple answer is you just have to stop, theres no way around it. I know its easier said than done, but just dont buy them. You cant smoke em if you dont got em! Good luck!

EDIT: PS also id recommend upping your nic level, i use 18 mg and that would probably be good for you, but of course you can go up to 24 if need be

I agree with Spyder, up the nic level and find a good menthol you like, I kept a higher nic level (in it's own inexpensive clearo)here for one week after I quit. When I had that urge I'd pick up the stronger nic and draw on it, craving gone. After a week I learned to resist the urge on my regular level, and cravings are really rare now. I do on occasion from habit, after doing something think "ok, finished that time for a cig". Then at a glance I remember I don't smoke, grab the vape and in 5 seconds I have relaxed. Knowing that relaxation is but a few seconds away helps. Good luck in your journey, you CAN do it,

You simply need higher nicotine...I smoked for 40 years, started with 24mg nicotine, now I'm down to zero-3mg. Quit smoking the same day I started vaping.

After a while you may not have any urge for nicotine, just vape for the cessation.

I have smoked cigarettes for over 20 years and tried vaping about 3 months ago after finding an eGo battery on the street after visiting my folks. At first I thought 'no damn way this can replace my cigs!' But after a dozen flavors and a bundle of batteries and tanks, I only smoke 2-4 cigarettes in the morning with coffee on the drive to work. Maybe some day I won't even have those, but until that day comes, glad glad glad I found that first battery!
