I worry I'm getting too much nicotine but compared to a pack of cigarettes a day, one cartridge at 24 mg would have to be less than a pack of analogs I hope? I enjoy vaping and all the flavors right now. I wonder if I'm getting too much at times, but surely not compared to smoking.

trust me, you'd KNOW if you were getting too much: cold sweats, nausea, jittery feeling, heart palpitations....

If you are only using one cart per day, you are getting (my barely educated guess) the equivalent of maybe 5 cigs per day.

One cartridge is the equivalent of 2 to 4 cigarettes. Maybe 2 to 5, for larger carts. It can't possibly be any more as most take about 0.6ml or 12 drops, of which you can't get more than 10 drops out for use.

[edit]
This is an average cartridge, say of 510 size. Some. like an 801, are larger. Some cartos, and certainly XL carts and cartos, will be larger. Some carts, like the 206 series, are smaller.

Also this depends to some extent on what your definition of a 'cigarette equivalent' is. For example, if you direct drip say 3 drops, you'll get maybe 5 or 6 puffs off that. Most people would not consider that in any way equivalent to a cigarette, either in 'time equivalent', or in 'nicotine equivalent'. An ecig used for the same length of time as a tobacco cigarette will not deliver the same amount of nicotine, you have to use it for longer. So, for most people, the number of drops equivalent to a cigarette could range from 4 to 8.

Great info Rosa, I have been wondering if I have been vaping too much also. I am currently only 1-2ml/ per day of 18mg. I am certainly puffing on the EGO more than an analog and at times think I am doing too much. No Nic overdose, just puff enough to make the cravings go away. Nice to see that I am just as normal as everyone else.

I started 15 months ago at 36mg. Dropped to 24mg pretty quickly and stayed there. Just recently, within the last two weeks, I've dropped to 18mg and can tell the difference but I'm sticking with 18. Maybe in another year I can drop to 12mg. ;-) Since the day I started, I've been vaping around 3-5ml per day.

When I first ordered I bought 24mg liquid. My first few vapes gave me a nic rush and couldn't vape for another hour. Now I use 18mg and vape as needed to handle nicfits. I use 2ml per day. I hope to thin it down over then next year to 0 and then quit.

Nicotine absorption in real smokes is enhanced by ammonia. This is called freebase. e-Liquids are acidic and don't absorb nearly as well. I knew from the start from my research that it was going to take a while to learn how to drive my e-cig because there is no right dose or frequency that works for everyone. Just like there is no flavor liked by everyone forever.

Just boosting the post count but I hope it's relevant.

I hear you, WOH, I was just wondering. For me personally, I think that I'm more hooked on the device at this point than I am on nicotine.

...I certainly never put nearly as much thought into being a smoker as I put into vaping, it's an obsession unto itself.

I couldn't agree with you more Codex! Many times, when I have created a new DIY juice sample without nic, I will vape that all afternoon into the evening, and find myself totally satisfied just on the flavor and experience alone! I normally vape between 1.5-2ml a day at 12mg.
