Helllo,

I've salvaged 4 LGEBB41865 batteries from an Xiaomi MI 10480mAh External battery which died on me, I was using it for work. After it died, I asked my boss if I could tear it appart and use the internal batteries for my own Mods.

I'm a bit afraid to use them as there's no much info online about them, plus they have this little sodering point on both leads. You can see in the pictures what I'm talking about.
The sodering point are because they batteries were connected by a bridge so they could work in series as one while in the casing of the external battery.

Now my guess is, since they don't have any apparent damage, no leaking and the wraping is undamanged, they should work just fine. But still I want someone's opinion who probably knows a lot more about batteries than I do seeing that I'm fairly new to vaping and batteries.

I've put them on a charger that I use for my other batteries, so far so go, they are not heating up like crazy and there's no smell or leaking or any apparent damage being done to them as they charge.

I would really apreciate if someone could tell me more info about this batteries and if they are safe to use in a standard regulated mod.

Link to the photo I've taken of the batteries, where you can see the sodering points I'm talking about.

Big Thanks!

What is a "Xiaomi MI"? Google only shows phones that an 18650s wouldn't fit in.

Using cells recovered from electronic equipment is generally a bad idea. Most electronic equipment uses high-capacity, low-drain (high internal resistance) cells that aren't rated to deliver more than a few amps.

The LG BB series 18650's are very low amp draw batteries used in things like portable USB chargers, flashlights, laptop batteries etc..

These batteries should NOT be used with vapor products.. One of the batteries in this series has an obscenely low CDR of..... 50ma...

The only 18650 batteries that could possibly be salvaged and used with vapor products from every day items are generally from power tool lithium battery packs....
