Homeish now
3 days to two months. IMO Sometimes lots of cleaning and babying can get more out but still.....

Prices....I wouldnt pay more then 3-4.00 for one of them and buy in bulk.

Personally...I Do keep standard and LR 510 attys around......if for nothing else the time a rda wants to be a PITA is when I dont have time to fix it

Cool thanks for the info, I'm on a quest to get more flavor out of my juices. I sick of vaping juices that smell nice but taste like wet socks. Any suggestions on where to buy in bulk? I've got one on the way but if I like it I'll want to get some more for sure. I have a couple rda's but their performance so far is slightly better than tanks which mute everything.

I get my 306s from Vapor Kings. I got to turned onto the deal by the Phidias crowd. I was surprised since their prices are pretty high on everything else. Look under "bulk atomizers." I can't remember if their prices for 510s are good or not, I don't use them enough to buy 10 at once. O/T - things really do come full circle. I bought my first kit from them.

For 510s, keep your eyes open for sales, plus check the Dripping thread in the Atomizer sub-forum in Assorted PV Topics and Vapor Joe's blog. Digital Ciggz recent a had a great sale, but it's over now. When I buy juice or batteries I always check to see if the vendors sells attys too. If they aren't ridiculous high I add one to the order if it doesn't change the shipping cost.

ETA: I guess I stand corrected on the Dgital Ciggz sale, I only looked at the main page and it said $14-something, I could have sworn it had the $9.95 sale price on the main page before. I remember now why I didn't buy from them, 2.3Ω is too high for my BFs.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the average lifespan of your standard atomizer is and also that of the Cisco spec atomizers. They price seems a bit steep so I'm wondering if its worth shelling out the cash. In terms of usage.

i've started using tanks more than attys lately, but when i used them a lot, if they survived the first 2 or 3 days i could usually get at least 2 weeks out of them. occassionally i will get several weeks use

I'm heading for a full month on a 1.5 Vapage slant coil hybrid atty. That's vaping it every day with a thick VG dark juice. Just regular cleaning and soaking, no dry burns and they seem to go on forever. (That is on a VMOD)

I also have a 1.5ohm kidney puncher (that's the vendor not a description) on a spinner that I use a little bit. It has more than 3 weeks and it's like new.

As Ocey said, the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...405910-regular-atty-drippers-dying-breed.html
thread is worth a visit too.

I don't dry burn either. I tried it a few times but stopped after frying an atty.

Just remember that, like with anything else, there is a learning curve to dripping. The key is to not get all mad and frustrated when you get dry burns, flooding, or even pop an atty or two. We've all been there, and learned what we can/can't do with an atty from it.

Also every kind of atty functions/tastes a little different. So just because you don't like the first one you try doesn't mean you won't like dripping.
For example lots of folks point & snicker when I say that I modify LR 510-T atties for my drippers, but I like them best and that's all that matters. So don't be afraid to try a few different atties, and decide for yourself which you like best.

As for the life of an atty, when I first started dripping a week to 10 days was average. Now, 6 months to a year is average.

best price i found for for 510 attys is at Digital ciggz DigitalCiggz.com · Electronic Cigarette Retailer · 1-877-954-ECIG has 15% off code through august and offers a good deal on 5 packs too Joyetech 510 Atomizer 5-Pack (2.3ohm) | DigitalCiggz.com

contrary to what another poster said, i was able to place an order for the 5 pack deal today (i got two to make the $6 shipping worthwhile) and the 15% off code SUMMERVAPE is good through aug 29. Came out to less $23 for 10 attys including shipping. i suggest different colors to help keep track of the age of your attys.

    You're dripping, yes?

Blow it out twice per day to help clear gunk.
I don't suggest you fully dry-burn. Just until the sizzle stop and then maybe a bit more but don't over stress the coil. Stock atty ga wire will melt and pit easily shortening the life (IMO).
Clean in with hot water rinses/soaks before it gets so gunked that you over-vape it.

Will last about 2 months and then change it out for a new one. If it's still working, throw it in the "emergency atty bin". At least that's what I did. Many say they last much longer but I found them to degrade in performance compared to new. I think the coil wire wears/pits or wicks get....old. So I just replaced them every month or two at most.

It was me who got it wrong. I was just looking at the main page and didn't go to the products page. Thank for catching that, it's a great deal!

I have been using Cisco Spec atties for several months, now. I don't buy the HH357's . .just the regular LR 510 or 306. They cost just under $10 and last me 2-3 weeks. After that, they still work but I notice the performance has declined.

The main difference I find between the Cisco Spec atties and the cheaper ones is that Cisco Spec atties are really consistent. With the Joye atties . .sometimes they'd last a few days . .sometimes a few weeks . .a few were even bad right from the get-go.

If a $10 atty lasts you 2 weeks . .that's $0.70 per day. Not enough for me to worry about cleaning them. After they get replaced, they go into a box for "just in case" . .I have about a dozen still-woring-but-not-prime atties just in case I need one.
