"Lifetime" Supply Nicotine

We're do you store your food? xD

Wait a minute, freezers are supped to store food as well as my nic? Well, I never.

I got pretty tiny freezer :( I'd assume one storage rack would hold 5-6 Litre bottles and i've 4 racks :p

I am fortunate. I have a wide-by-side, so the freezer is pretty big. My nic takes up half a shelf, and only because we leave a bit of space around it to avoid any theoretical contamination of food (through two layers of plastic).

Were I to overflow that, my mother has a standing freezer and has already offered space if I need it.

In my case, seven years of nic is 1.6 L of 100 mg/ml. I vape 5 mg/ml.

Oh well :) Incase i'm going the bulky way of handling it. I'll prolly buy another freezer (lol) to hold em. But the problem is i live in an appartment, not a house. :(

Your refrigerator would be entirely adequate storage for short to medium term, say a year. If you put 500 ml in the freezer and 500 in the fridge, use the fridge stuff first.

Well i won't be stocking anytime soon (hopefully depends on regulations, hehe) And i'll just be learning how to DIY.

And yeah i know nic isn't that dangerous but it's still something that needs to be treated with respect. :)

Respect is wise with most chemicals. People are incredibly cavalier about things...I use white vinegar for most tasks around the house because of its (relative) safety and effectiveness. Just don't get it in your eye... :)

nicotine will last at least a few years frozen. Here's an old forum topic on it:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/polls/205783-freezing-nicotine.html

Lot of 2009 debate about putting juice in the ref and freezer. One member claimed ref ruined his juice and many followed his lead and stored in cool dark place (not ref). I didn't buy his story because his account didn't seem to hold water. Anyways, I put all my stash in the freezer in 2009. I was keeping an old thread updated but moderators don't like old threads apparently; I'm sure there is a good reason. I pulled 30 ml of 2009 vintage nic out at 4 year mark and it vaped perfect. I only have one 30 ml bottle of 2009 nic left in the freezer. Maybe I'll pull 5 ml at 5 or 6 year mark?

Someone also had good success storing in cool dark place. I am considering storing next batch at room temp just to keep eggs separated. My concern w/ freezer storage is a failed freezer causes quite the stench and peeps normally dispose of all contents. I mean, could you vape nic than was surrounded by meat rot stench; just the thought.

My 2009 and 2011 nic is MFS.

Does anyone know if recent batches of NudeNicotine smell and taste clean? I'd like to compare w/ my vintage MFS.

I don't buy it either; the fridge is a perfectly acceptable place to store nic, PG, and VG. Flavorings could go in there, but I don't bother--I have a maximum of 4 ounces on-hand of those at a time, except for menthol where I may have a pound of crystals.

I would! I'll also pre-bet that it's essentially unchanged at year 6, although a nicotine test would be required to be completely certain of that.

Sealed, in a dark area, of reasonable temperature (room temp or below) I expect good 2 year storage. After that I'd have to test it, but wouldn't be surprised if it shows only slight (and unimportant) discoloration at year 4.

Per reports, they're good. Personally, I can't say; I use Wizard Labs.

I'm vaping vintage 2011 MFS nic at 4 mg these days. Getting perfect medium throat hit at 4 mg. 6 mg produces luxury throat hit. 8 mg produces a firm TH. 10 mg too strong for me (using rebuildable 1.2 ohm coil). If it passes my throat hit testing I'm happy.

I use 5 mg/ml myself right now, about to drop to 4. My primary flavoring is menthol, so TH isn't an issue--usually the problem is getting the menthol right so it has a good, menthol flavor without tearing my mucous membranes off and dissolving them into puddles of goo.

FWIW, I found a small bottle in the back of my desk drawer that is about 2yrs old with a few drops in the bottom. Room temp ( 72-78 deg.) the whole time. Perfectly clear and odor free. ( actually better than some I've bought fresh).

I've never given into the scares around here and buy fresh a couple of times a year. Many nic places also sell commercially for other uses, and much more than what ecig folk buy. I'm confident it'll be around and affordable after any gov't ruling issues.

Personally, I think they'll simply re-brand it. You can't tax nicotine under vaping/smoking laws if it's branded as "insect killer."

Yes, it actually is good for that, although the neonicotinoids are superior (and probably contributing to the bee colony collapse syndrome, but that's another story).

It'll take two or three years for the EPA to require that nicotine "insect killer" be given an additive to render it impossible to vape. At that point, we should be able to find another "use" for it.

Since nicotine finds uses in pharmaceutical industries as well, as is currently being directly studied to treat several diseases, I don't expect it'll completely disappear. The stuff is simply too useful.

Except they're working on banning nicotine insecticides.

Well, I've stayed with vaping primarily because of a disease I have and I think it's starting to become more useful in that way. Some of the people that have my illness have found quicker, more effective symptom relief than the best and most expensive medicine that BP has to offer at this time. Like Majorly better.

Same here. Gastro keeps flip flopping on wanting me off it but I'm not quitting until I'm sure it no longer helps and I'll be going on worse drugs with or without it.

There are folks on my UC forum starting to use it more and it's actually pulling people out of bad flares.

    Hang in there Myk.

Hush, will you? That's just another reason for "them" to ban it. It's a generic, for Pete's sake!

If nothing changes with my consumption a lifetime supply (assuming I live to be 100) would be 105,850mls of nicotine not including flavorings. I guess we could subtract about 10%, but that would be too complicated. That's 211 and a smidge 500ml bottles. Wizard Labs price of 21.69/500ml bottle (18mg.) That would cost me $4,591.77...

Huh, that's actually not too bad.

A carton of smokes is about $33.00. 1 carton/ week. 52 weeks/year. 58 years to 100 years old. $99,528 dollars. I think I can afford a freezer now that I've worked the numbers.

Disclaimer: My math skills suck, so take all these numbers with a grain of salt and a miscarried 3 or 5.

I hope I place my next order before you tap the nic well dry:).
