Lighted fire switch.. bad to pull power from 510 thru a voltage regulator?

I'm wondering something, from those much wiser than I am. If you use an led lighted fire switch, and pull v+ from the 510 (only lit while firing) and run it thru a 5v regulator, does that affect the power given to the 510? or could it harm the dna30 board? (or sx board for that matter).

The easy answer is - yes it's bad.

Look at post #5 of the "Wiring a LED button on a VW mod" thread. It shows exactly what to do. My switch still lights up great!

Thanks for the link and info.... But, I know how to wire it in, my worry is - is it dangerous to the dna30 board in wiring it up?

The board will not know, or care for that matter. The amount of current it takes away from the atty is minuscule.
