Hello!

Hrrmmm ... I'm new here, but I'm thinking that water might not work? If I was to guess I'd say dilute it with whatever it is, like PG or VG. I haven't had the balls to try making my own juices yet, but I've seen links to juice calculators that will detail how to make it stronger or weaker. Maybe look into that? I'm sure all the people that have been here longer will have much better information for you.

Good luck finding your perfect flavor!!

I am also new to vaping but, from what I've read, water won't do the trick. I have used glycerine - an 8oz bottle was $2 at the local drugstore. Glycerine is the base liquid in VG (as apposed to PG) ejuices.
When I buy ejuice from tastyvapor.us, for each 1oz of "with nicotine" I buy, I also buy a 2oz. of the same flavor with no nicotine, then I mix them to get the strength I want.

Another thing you could do is buy the same liquid in a much lower nic level and mix it with the higher strength liquid, thus no loss in flavor or vapor.(example, mix 5ml of 24 mg nic juice with 5ml of 8mg juice = 10ml of 16mg juice).

Are you sure about that? Equal amounts of 24 mgs and 8 mgs mixed together? That sounds like adding more to 24 mgs ( 24 mgs + 8 mgs)

I asked the same question at cignot except in reverse order. I wanted to know how to make mgs higher. Vicki simply said to buy the next higher strength ( same liquid) and add a small amount of the higher to the lower juice and than she said that the lower mg juice would be stronger.

Not trying to pick an argument here but

I 5 ml bottle of 24mgs , plus 1 5 ml bottle of of 8 mgs = 32 mgs of fluid ( in one bottle) . Divide that by 2 and you'll have 2 bottles of 16 mil but it will still be 32mgs in each bottle.

The person wanted to know how to lower the strength of the mgs, not the amounts in the bottle.

The given example will lower the nic content:

5 mls of 24mg/ml + 5 mls of 8mg/ml = 10mls @16mg/ml

JB you're using volume and strength interchangeably. The mg rating is amount of nicotine per ml of fluid.

Assume one ml of each: 24mg +12mg = 36mg (in 2ml of liquid)
36/2 =18, thus 18mg nicotine per ml

I didnt use your numbers, but if we substitute your numbers and we see the fluid you are talking about is 16mg
