Forgive me if this question has been answered before. I did a search but wasn't able to find the answer I was looking for.

I've never really had the privilege of being able to smoke indoors, but it's been this "fetish" of mine. When vaping is there any sort of permanent, lingering odor? Or is there an odor that disappears? Or absolutely no order at all?

In any case, I just purchased my first e-cig and I'm excited. I've already begun to say my goodbyes to the analogs.

It really depends I think on how you vape it also. If you hold it in till there's no vapor on exhale, there's also no detectable smell at all.
If you blow out clouds of vapour, then there will be a slight smell that will linger for a few seconds, and, depending on the flavour, and person, I've had some people even figure out what flavour it was from the smell. But no, nothing will stink up your house, car, or even clothes or hair or anything. after you're done vaping there's nothing detectable.

I agree with all here, there is no comparison to the cigs re: odors. I vape in the car with the windows up and when I go back later, there's nothing there. When I'd smoke in the car, whew! when I went back, terrible. My husband says he can smell certain flavors for just a second, when the vapor is in the air, but not a bad odor at all. He says it smells good.

I vape constantly in front of my computer and when I wipe down the screen now, all I get is dust, no more yellowing.

I read a post here on the ecf forum, maybe not in this subforum, that said they had stopped smoking inside the house almost a year ago and started vaping, there was no residue at all from the vaping.

I vaped at the relatives over the holiday. My aunt noticed and guessed at Chocolate when I was filling carts, and again when I was smoking that one. She said she was having a vicarious snack. She was sitting about three feet away, and it certainly didn't linger.

Made no comment about any of the other flavors, and none of my friends have made comments about the smell, either in my home or out with them. Even the ones allergic to smoke who will now happily sit right next to me while I'm vaping.

I think some flavors have a lingering odor. My non-smoking mother has *ordered* me to vape peach cobbler when I'm at their house. ;) I was over there a few weeks back, and my mom was sitting near me while I was vaping. She finally asked me what flavor that was because it smelled "heavenly". I told her what it was, and she then made be blow it in her direction for the rest of the afternoon. lol.

When I vape RY4, hubby (the seni smoker) swears he can smell pipe tobacco. I can smell RY4 on my skin after I have vaped it..to me it smells kind of sweet like caramel candy. But no other flavor leaves a trace or a scent in the air. Not even mint!
My Grandson tries to figure out what I am vaping and hangs over me..he can never tell.

Yeah Man, Vape on!! My wife doesn't smoke and never has and usually can smell anything... what I'm drinking, smokin, etc. but she's not made any comments, other than how nice I smell now. All my clothes are so clean smelling. It's great, you shouldn't get any complaints. I vape all day in a State owned office building which strickly prohibits smoking and no one has said a word, just smiles (SMILIN).

My nephew guessed the flavor I was vaping yesterday. It was orange juice and it apparently smells pretty good! (It tastes really good, too.)
