Guys
i strongly suggest you buy liquids that are in a clear see-through plastic bottles.

I have found that some white non-transparent bottles that are sold from the Chinese manufacturers to certain suppliers here, often do not contain the promised quantity.:8-o

If we buy 10ml it should be 10 ml.
not 8.5 ml or even 6.2 ml in another bottle.

Funny it's never 10.2 ml or 10.5 ml ...

It's strange that mistakes are always less product for the money or more money for less product.

I don't think I've ever gotten a dekang juice in the 30ml size that was a true 30 mls. ( 3 different vendors on the 30 ml size)It's always around 25-ish mls.
I've checked this with measuring tools ( syringe and measure cups) since I'd gotten some for DIY. I was kinda surprised as honestly I hadn't thought to check before until I noticed several bottles with different levels ( up to 3mls difference, that's noticeable)
Honestly these should be listed as 25ml bottles, not 30ml.

What I'm wondering is if that's just how Dekang bottles it.. therefore cheating vendors and then ultimately us..
Or if vendors are pulling some out and extending profits?
Honestly I'm thinking it's the first because it seems to be a common problem.
They label it as 30mls on the bottle, it definitely isn't.
Hrm... has anyone gotten any bottles of it that is actually the right volume?

Never a better reason to start making your own. Its fun, easy and the $$ saved will be significant.

That's besides the bloody point!
It's when 2 + 2 do not equal 4 that we have a problem.

Like the steakhouses...there's a juicy 9oz steak on the menu...when the plate comes the piece of meat barely weighs 6 oz.
The cow shrank in the process.

I think I might have found an answer to this, part of the reason is that they don't actually sell by ml's, they sell by weight (even if they advertise by volume) so they weigh the bottle into the equation as well. I'm always shorted too. :(

Ah that explains it.. weight..
I figured it was a manufacturer problem, as it was too widespread a issue.
They need to quit adding the bottle in the equation or at least fix the label then.

Thanks for the answer :D

I'd have to go with it's the machinery (and lack of quality control). Most machines that fill containers with liquid are set to a certain level, 30ml for example. The machine will keep spitting out a max of 30ml, but if there is a jam, the liquid is heavier or thinner, a delay, or any other reason, it will only spit out a max of 30ml, never more, sometimes less. Then in a manufacturing environment they have quality control people that go and measure the size of random bottles from each batch and in some companies they even check every single bottle. Then they pull the under filled bottles out, either throw them out or open them and re-add it the main liquid batch or sell them as under filled bottles (at clearance prices).

I've also found that many bottles (maybe not all, I haven't used all of them) are actually larger than their stated sizes. For example, a popular bottle from US Plastics is advertised as 15ml (or cc) when it actually holds 18ml, not including the neck. When filled with 15ml (per graduated cylinder) it appears to be short quite a bit, when it's not actually the case.

No biggie,

but I've alwasys thought ml. was a liquid measurement?

Pounds, grams, ounces and penny weights being your weight measurements...

Looking for a hog's head of flue cured myself...

Last 30ml. I received was a shockingly full, 1/4 empty...

That's pushing it in my book
fo

Yeah, I mentioned it--I'd rather not have to though...
