Liquid turning blue? Burned taste on multiple cartos? Newbie here. Am I going to die?

I'm a super duper newbie.. and very concerned.

Setup:
lavatube v2.5
Valley View Vapes - SD Triple V Pyrex 7ml Tank
Boge 3ohm cartomizer


I noticed it was time to replace my first cartomizer, as it started to feel clogged and had a burnt taste. No initial problems were had with my first at all. Replaced it with another boge carto, and found it still tasting burnt. I thought this may have been because I did not properly soak it before use, as I was rushing it.

I put in another carto and took my time. I soaked it until liquid came out of the two punches -dripping and waving the carto about to push juice downward. Filled my tank and it tasted just as burnt. Unwilling to toss another carto into the garbage, I tried to press through it. Maybe this was just a phase? Maybe I know relatively nothing about cartomizers?

Either way, day two of its use.. my juice seems to be turning blue. I've had this problem before with juice - but then, it turned a darker brown, which I guess is natural.

Blue turning juice is made by Real Feel (Gas station juice - I know.. Im buying online now). Its menthol and has a bit of sweetness to it.

Am I vaping chemicals not intended for the human body? Why would my 2nd replaced carto also taste burnt - after I gave what I thought was a pretty good soaking?

Am I going to die?

ive never had that happen before but i would try emptying out your tank completely and getting a new carto and starting fresh. try pbusardos condom method and be sure to wipe off all the juice from your connection and clear out the flooding. and put it back together and the get back to us and let us know how it is going. also you may want to make sure that your voltage or wattage isnt too high as that will give you a burnt taste as well

Thanks for the advice. The condom method looks easy and effective. I always thought the inner tube was a sacred no-juice zone so I was slightly shocked.

Could any problem be coming from the tank itself? Not totally clean? O-rings somehow disintegrating?

Me I would throw them away maybe defective and change juice. Peace of mind better than a few bucks. Something in not correct. Good luck on your vaping journey.

And I was running at 9W with no issue on my first carto. These, idk, maybe thats too high?

With my current possibly dangerous carto, even 3W tastes kinda vile.

well anything is a possibility. i would wash it out thoroughly and dry it good. lube your o rings with juice when you put it back together. cartos were kinda tricky when i first started using them. but once you get the hang of it, its like second nature. good luck and report back and let us know how it worked and if you have any other questions feel free to ask away

make sure all your cartos are the same ohms, a friend thought they were all the same so he had the same problem when first ones were like 2.5 and the new ones were 1.5. (Always check new tanks, cartos etc. resistance before using is my rule)

also once a carto gets burnt its impossible to get past that flavor. best thing is to throw it away and get a new one.

IM ALIVE!

I took all advice from all you helpful wonderful people and I have to say all's working as intended.

-Super cleaned the tank and lubed it
-New carto
-Pbasardo's condom fill method
-New juice
-Contacts cleaned
-Ohms checked at 2.9
-Started at low Watts to be safe and moved up

Gotta say this new juice tastes horrible - but horrible as it was made to taste.

One thing. I did flood the crap out of the carto in an effort to soak the ever living crap out of it. Any advice on best ways to clear it out fully?

take the tank off. get a paper towel and blow from the drip tip. put the connector on a paper towel and give it a few short blows and that should clear out all of the flooding. take a few dry pulls to make sure and screw it back on and vape on.
