And that's why I'm having trouble with the Gomer Pyle, aww shucks, I'm just trying to protect my business line. There is a big payday waiting for whoever pulls this off first.
Is that the way you see it?
Here's what I see... Mike is not Gomer Pyle, nor have I ever seen him act even remotely like a back-woods hick... he's a scientist and engineer with a serious pedigree including (but not limited to) his work at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory...
ShaZAMMMM shZAMMMM ShaZAMMM... He's an actual business man... imagine that!
Is there a big payday? Yep... probably so... IF this technology manages to remain the incumbent technology when it's time for Big
tobacco to make their play. There is quite a bit of risk here, because the market is LOADED with engineers that are "nearly" in the market with technology for eCigs that we have not even thought about here in this forum... If any ONE of these new emerging technologies gets a bite into the market and THEY become the incumbent tech, then "Gomer" misses his big payday, and he's out the coin he spent getting a patent, which by my calculation is probably TWICE what he's earned selling his VV PVs to date, in terms of profit...
It's easy to take pot-shots at folks with ambition. The world is FILLED with people that sit back and wallow in the filth of status quo, at least "Gomer" had the gumption to do something like this, and if that payday comes, I won't see what you see... I'll see a guy that never took his eye off the prize, not for one second...
He's protecting his investment, and he's MAYBE going to benefit from this move... it's far from a done deal... in the mean time, hows about we respect people in this country that create instead of being the guy with the comments aimed at thinking he's up to no good?
